Days in the desert are always fun, this day was fun until I got home and had to deal with a prima-donna. Such a whirlwind from this shoot and this day. Was it worth it? Absolutely not. My list of 'people who I will never shoot with again' is getting longer and longer. I guess it comes with the job. I have always been candid with you guys and gals. I love the results my Nikon F5 produces with the Sigma 50mm 1.4 attached to it. It is just such a great combo, I do not think I will have a more favorite 35mm combo than that! I am feeling film inclined today, so enjoy this exposure of Reed shot in Phoenix, AZ!

Slowly but surely I am getting more used to shooting double exposures with our Land. The issue is, when you double expose a piece of film, the two images fade together and almost give it a ghostly look. For some exposures, it is absolutely amazing. However for something like this, I like a rich depth to both of the images; which is exactly what I got. Last night after eating way too much Mexican food, Reed and I headed back to our hotel and she shot with a female photographer. The shoot went great and near the end we were all just about to collapse from the day. Even though it was an amazing day, we were exhausted! The next installation of the battle, shot in Portland. We had a two day stint in the car and literally spent two days in it. We even folded down the back seats and slept in the back; cost savings. When we got into Portland we both felt super gross from hiking, being covered in sand, dirt and just two days worth of grime. We decided to use hotels tonight and get a last minute room in Downtown Portland. The room was subpar, but the bathroom was beautiful!

Overcast rarely ever happens in Los Angeles, but this weekend we were blessed with an entire two and a half days with perfectly diffused light and cloudy skies. This was a day like no other, my life changed forever.

The night of Reed’s art show was action packed to say the least. On our way home from Reno, NV we decided to take the long route through Yosemite National Park. The route through the park adds about three hours to the trip back to Los Angeles, but it was so worth it.
