Seaside Churches With Brooklynn

Where diid we leave off?

Ah, right – Marlboro's and buses. Well, a quick outfit change and a short quarter mile down the road later, we came across this very attractive church. Now, it looks like a church – due to the regular identifiers such as a cross (duh), well kept grounds and yes; not a person in sight. We were in the middle of nowhere though, with a whole bunch of rundown trailers, buses and paved roads that were quickly disintegrating into being a primitive gravel pat...

Smoke 'Em if Ya Got 'Em with Brooklynn

Every once in awhile, there comes along a person – a person that makes you look at something differently, revitalizes your passions, inspires you to do more or simply makes your neural synapses fire a little bit faster than normal.

Well, meet Brooklynn.

Brooklynn – a multi-talented photographer, model, artist, curator and analogue buff. A deep rooted past in all things film, hailing from the great Midwest and well versed in hot dishes. Well, the last part is...

Analogue With Brooklynn | A Collection of Polaroids

The first creative shoot I had had in a while. Well, since my shoot with Arson which was towards the beginning of the last quarter of 2024.

This weekend I had driven to and from Palm Springs each day – Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Two of those days, were to go to Paradise Road Show, hang out with some friends and shoot some photos of cars and bikes. The last day, Sunday, was to go on a seemingly epic adventure with this lady, Brooklynn.

We spent the day zooming aro...

Portraits With Arson

Creativity and drive are interesting things to stop and dissect.

Whether it be cooking, crafting, photography, music... the list is endless. Creativity for everyone comes and goes like the seasons. Well, mine has been in a very long winter. From large life changes, shifts in subject preferences, a discovery of my own style, etc... It has all contributed. I cannot say for sure what sparked my creativity recently. What I can definitively say though is that Arson has helped pull me ...

Analogue With Arson | A Collection Of Polaroids

This was the first shoot in a long time that I was severely nervous for. It has been some time since I have shot with someone new for several reasons, and especially the shooting being with someone as creative and inspirational as Arson – I was very nerved.

The entire experience was amazing and the photos – all of them – mimic.

On this day, I shot the last every FP-3000B exposure that I will probably ever shoot. I have recently decided to part ways with my...

CineStill With Paige

A little while back Paige and I got together for a day of riding with a small dose of shooting. It was the first time I had seen her in almost three years and it was three years too long! I didn't bring much with me besides a couple of film cameras, the Leica M7 and the Mamiya RZ67. Through the RZ was a roll of Kodak Portra 400 and through the M7 was a roll of CineStill 800T

It was mainly a day to simply enjoy, it just felt good to snap some photos along the way! Enjoy!

Orange Groves With Mia Valentine

It is always so exciting to me when I have a friend come into town whom I have not seen in a lone while. This was true for Mia. It had been just over a year since I last saw her and she was back in LA for awhile. Of course, we needed to see one another and of course we needed to shoot.

I picked Mia up from the airport on a warm and sunny Thursday afternoon. Surprisingly, LAX traffic was bearable and smooth, but nonetheless we rushed to get out of the airport. Firs stop; tacos. Gu...

Velvet With Ariel Jean

A quick little post!

A few days ago Ariel and I got together to shoot some images for her fiancé's clothing brand. We had to book the studio for a two hour minimum. So... she brought some outfits more our speed. This was the first of a couple looks we shot. Enjoy!

Analogue With Ariel Jean | A Collection of Polaroids

I am going to make it a point this year to not only shoot more, but create more, envision more and post more. The other day I texted Ariel to ask if she was working, the answer was no and I immediately hopped on my motorcycle and headed to her house to shoot some quick portraits (in editing right now) and a pack of Polaroids. Enjoy!

All exposures shot on Polaroid 600 Type Color film with a Polaroid SLR680.

Soft Portraits With Kenna

The woman who has moved about as many times as I.

Kenna's most recent move brought her back to Los Angeles, and we have always admired one another from afar. On this specific day, we came together for a first shoot. It was the first shoot I had in a long while and I wanted to just dip my toes in. Thankfully, she was in the same place and really just wanted to get in front of a camera to stretch the muscles, if you will.

It seems that a lot of the people I end...

Fields With Hannah

One day in recent history I was scheduled to have a shoot and as it seems to always happen, that person canceled the very same day. Thankfully, Hannah was available and open to having a creative afternoon. We quickly scraped together a plan and I began the extremely daunting drive deep into The Valley. The plan was simple; start off in the rolling hills and then venture to the beach for a view of the sunset. Perfect.

There was something that was not perfect, the temperature. ...

In The Sun With Meredith Devine

The second look from my most recent shoot.

Where we started in the trees and then ventured out. It was a brief walk along a trail just off where water used to openly run but has since dried up. We tucked ourselves back in between some bushes and down a small slope to be hidden from the main trail. I could feel the beaming sun on my skin with sweat beading on my forehead while I retrieved my camera once more. As I looked up, Meredith was already changed and ready to shoot our ...

Analogue In Arizona With Reed

I know for well, from a long history of sharing here, that my images of Reed are some of your favorites. It is in fact the largest collection of images that I have of one person and these are some of the most recent that have been added to that collection.

Some, on a river bank, pressed up against one of the only flowing bodies of water I have ever seen in the Phoenix area. Others, next to a window in her home. Enjoy.

Analogue In The Tetons With Rachel Murphy

I did not have an entirely accurate assessment of how this month of August would turn out. I thought I would be able to get back into the swing of things, schedule some shoots and start rolling through the creative process once again. However, that was not the case. It was not the case in the least. There is a large part of me that misses and longs to do these things once more, but I keep telling myself that I cannot force it. So for now, old, but new images. Old, in the sense of when they we...

JPL With Meredith Devine

Sometimes all you need is a little bit of time with a really good friend.

This was the first social interaction I had after Kylea's passing and to be frank, I was nervous. Not feverous in the sense of shooting with Meredith, being around her or anything of that nature. Nervous because I did not know how I would be, how I would act or if I would be okay. I was okay, I was more than okay. Being around Meredith for the time that we were together was refreshing and reminded me th...
