It is only fitting to share some of my most recent favorite images on my birthday.
The first pack of FP-3000B I had was gifted to me by my friend Andy Reaser. I had never shot it before and honestly just held onto it because I did not have a stock of it and wanted to wait for the right moment to use it. I eventually tested it out with Reed and I was up in the air about it. I shot the film through one of our Land cameras; I believe it was the Land Automatic 350. Normally I lik...

There is just something about meeting the right lady and what it does for your inspiration and creative drive. Lu most definitely falls into that category of the right lady. We had followed each other on Instagram for a couple weeks and then I decided to reach out to her and ask if she wanted to shoot. I was pleased when she responded and said yes! We booked a day about a month and a half out since she has such a busy schedule. Ever since then we had responded to each other's stories, texted ...

Another 35mm exposure for you from Anna's Leica R3! This one was shot more recently however. When we were on our way back down to Los Angeles from Santa Barbara we stopped off on the PCH for a little beach fun and fun, we had. I only brought a couple cameras down to the beach with me. My SX-70, the Leica Q and Anna's Leica R3. It was a quick little session with no nudity due to surrounding on lookers. The light leaks and burns on these images are in fact real. I was speaking with Anna last ni...

I have so much analogue to share on here it is honestly head spinning. I would say that the $10+ tiers are definitely the best bang for your buck!
Seeing as it is Mara's birthday today, I find it fitting to share these. Last week Mara and I went out to Malibu Creek State Park and shot some beautiful images and some video as well. I have not really tabled all that much in video since before March. I finally decided to start getting back into it and I cannot wait for you all to...

Anna blessed my phone tonight with some images that we shot a couple trips ago while she was in Los Angeles. I am smitten!
While we were shooting in the pool, cycling through a lot of different cameras Anna had asked if I wanted to take some exposures of her on her Leica R3 35mm film camera. I immediately picked it up and shot several frames. There was a decent amount of light leak, but I am absolutely in love with it! Enjoy!

On Sunday I was finally able to meet and shoot with Lu. We found each other on Instagram a couple months ago, exchanged a few direct messages and we had a lot of commonalities. I knew we were going to hit it off and be friends. Sunday sealed the deal on that front. She is such an amazing woman. We shot at my friend Christina's house in Long Beach and Christina even hopped into frame for a few digital and analogue shots. Enjoy!

Yesterday I had the great opportunity to work with Mara. I took us out to Joshua Tree National Park and we created all day into the last minutes of light. I have recently found myself being attracted to photographing neon signs with my SX-70. It started with walking by a neon sign after dinner with my good friend Derek in Downtown Los Angeles. I walked by the sign and thought "that is an amazing sign!" I had brought my SX-70 with me because I wanted to take a portrait of Derek, but it was too late at night and there was no natural light or any good light source around for that matter. So I pulled it out of my pocket, asked the employee if I cou...

On the same day I shot Anna at the pool, Jesse came over for the day as well. I had originally planned the day with Jesse, but Anna had a couple shoots rescheduled so she joined us for a day by the pool. Jesse and I shot two looks. One in the pool and one in my place with flash. You guys and gals know me, if I am shooting there is definitely analogue being shot as well. I love this day because I had the opportunity to shoot with two completely different looking ladies within a couple hours of...

My best friend Anna was in town for basically the entirety of August. This means I was able to see her several times over that visit. We shot twice and hung out for countless days. It was honestly amazing; this was the most time Anna and I have been able to spend together consecutively. I care easily say that our bond was strong prior to, but it is now even stronger. While we were shooting in the pool I opened a new pack of SX-70 film and the Creative Brief was 'The peanut butter to my jelly....

Anna and I have spent a lot of time together, but it seems that recently it has only been in short spurts. A lunch here, a dinner there, a couple Polaroids and then she is off to her next destination. The other day Anna and I finally had the opportunity to spend an entire day together! I will save the full story for the digital images coming soon, but I will say now that it was an absolutely perfect day.
Right before this day, I happened to pick up a new camera. The Polaroid ...

A shoot to me is so much more than just show up, capture some images and leave. I love making a day of it and spending time with the model and getting to know them as a person. Maud and I did exactly that. We got together in the late morning and spent the entire day together laughing, chatting and shooting. I shot a decent amount of film with her, mostly on 35mm and 120, but did snag some Polaroids as well. Enjoy!

What a special post today!
The other morning Meredith came by for a pool day. We laid out for about five hours, chatted, caught up and connected. Within the last hour or so, she asked me if I wanted to shoot. I, of course, said absolutely! I love having Meredith in front of my lens. Her modeling is phenomenal. We shot an array of SX-70, FP-100C, 35mm and digital! After Meredith left, I immediately uploaded the digitals to my computer, scanned the Polaroids and bleached the ne...
