This is a simple concept for a series with only a few key elements. A dark grey seamless, an apple box and a lady in her favorite pair of jeans. I first shot this style of an image with Abby Sturgess and I absolutely loved it so I kept shooting it with other ladies and then it compounded into me wanting to start this series. Today was the first day in awhile I had free to shoot, so I posted on my Instagram last night to see if any local Los Angeles ladies wanted to come to my studio for a quick collaboration. At around twenty-six hours of driving on the road trip clock, Reed and I made it to Portland, Oregon back in October of 2018. Diana and I followed each other two days ago and we live on opposite ends of the country. Diana in New York, New York and myself in Los Angeles. We ended up shooting the day after we followed each other! She travels for a living and just so happened to be flying into Los Angeles! This was the first time I have seen Abby since the last time we shot over two years ago and it was an absolute joy to see her once again. Abby and I met several years ago in Denver, Colorado at the High Times Cannabis Cup, I believe in 2015. Years later and states away we are still friends and still stay in touch. It is crazy to me what photography can do for my life.

Tonight as 7:18P.M. a company announced that they are going to start selling some hyper-rare film starting tomorrow, February 19th. These film types include Polaroid Chocolate, 669, Viva and 125i. A day in Joshua Tree always ends with a beautiful sunset and we took full advantage of the perfectly warm light. I have caught so many stunning sunsets in the National Park and each one is more beautiful than the previous. There are so many things that I love immensely about analogue, specifically Polaroids. The entire process of shooting them, the colors in the final images and the authenticity that they emit. On top of that, they are instant! That means that all I need to do is scan them into my hard drive, crop and share. It is so satisfying to be able to put work out right away after a shoot. When Asami first arrived in my space she immediately started pulling outfits and asked me what I wanted to shoot. Her lingerie collection is phenomenal so I was spoiled for choice.
