So, we're a few days out from the release of Episode 22. It's a pretty beefy update, with numerous conversations that you may or may not even see depending on what you've done so far. In fact, there's a fair amount of variations throughout. It's always funny how I get to this point in the build and I start thinking "oh, man, I only have a few scenes left to do" as I'm considering how much work remains, but then I start adding things up and it's a hell of a lot more than that. November 2021's Patron-exclusive wallpapers are a simple theme: Waking up on a nice, sunny morning. Nothing too extravagant, but sometimes it's the simple things that you need to enjoy.
In truth, this set generated from scene data where I really nailed the morning lighting effects, visual haze and all, in one sequence and wanted to parlay it into something else. When you hit that scene in chapter 22, you'll know what I'm talking about.

With a little hustle, we've got the latest chapter ready for release over the new few days. While not as sprawling in scope, this one's packed with content. I won't say more because it'd be Spoiler City.

And here we are, at roughly the halfway point. I won't give the breakdown on progress I usually do because so many scenes are in such weird states. The four big scenes are already shot and animated with the base code done, but the script is in pieces and still being fleshed out, which leads to some inevitable reshoots. But, for the rest of the chapter? The first two-thirds is in a playable state with some need for rewrites and code cleanup.

With us running a little behind (by my preferred scheduling), we jumped right into development of CH21. Most of what's been done so far is a lot of screens for scenes that haven't been hammered out, yet. I know what I want from the scene and there's always room for re-writes and re-shoots. Plus, getting half of the intimate scenes done really eases of the workload for the rest of the chapter.

All right. It's a little late and it took far more stress and effort than was necessary, but 0.20.0 is ready to go. While I was able to save all the game data, there was a number of things that I didn't expect to need to reinstall until I had the new laptop running. Like the Java Development Kit just to build the Android version. Or the custom preference files for Adobe Premier Pro that I had to reacquire from Github.

So, the worst has happened. My laptop died. I should've seen it coming, what with the issues I was having as of late. Let's just say that the battery was swollen, soft and squishy, which is not a thing you want from a battery unless you're the machines from The Matrix. And this was just the last in a long line of things that I'd been slapping Band-Aids on for a while now (replaced two fans and the hinges had to be epoxied back into a functioning shape).
