I feel like I'm obliged to draw you guys something halloweeny for an update. But just incase I don't get to it soon, here's a drawing for tonight's patreon update. I had a hard time selecting what drawing to pick, whether a really old one or something newer but not very done. I went with the latter.

Domme Harley Sketch

So, I went back to this sketch cause I wanted to remember what the design was so I could make a new drawing. But then I thought, hey this sketch was better than I remembered it. I might as well finish it. Came out nice, I'm actually quite happy with the design.

I'm also gonna share this on tumblr and mark it nsfw cause it kinda is. I think tumblr will like it, and I might as well be more open with the pinup stuff on there anyway. It makes up a fair bit of the patreon!

I have spent far too much time in the study of butts

Look, nothing much to say. Just working on that "Painting" stuff more. It gets tricky the sharper you wanna get but given enough hours on a drawing and it should be as smooth and finished as I might need.

Squishy Kitty Bun

Zafira belongs to Bast, and he asked for her in a sexy kitty outfit for a commission so I obliged.

Anyway, I'm getting into the groove of this "sketchy painty" look. It shows rough edges all over the place but it can be quite good looking AND fast. And getting better at this can only help in the future. I can't quite bring myself to draw a comic like this yet. But painting quickly really helps me get over small corrections which take up the majority of my time.

More "Painting"

So I've gotten better at this "sketchy painty" process and there's a pretty simple methodology to it involving layers over layers of work. When I get to make the time, I'll show you guys the different layers on a sketchy piece like this and hopefully you'll be able to glean something useful.

gone tricking and treating

Okay, two things in order of importance.

1: There are over a couple hundred sketches that can be compiled into a new Sketchie Book.

2: Thanks to some sketch commissions and me being generally a dorky perv, a large number of them are pinups and bdsm.

So I guess that means, if there's going to be a new Sketchie Book before the end of the year. it's gonna be the Sexy Book.

Lively Ivy

Okay, so it's not the most original costume. I think if I were to properly put Ivy into the weird bdsm batverse that's idling in the naughty parts of my mind the outfit would be a bit more creative. But that's for another time.

Anyway, I'm getting into this "drawing with my paint brushes" which seems all the rage. I can do a lot with it, just by painting in layers rather than coloring under clean lineart. Nothing wrong with clean lineart, but it's good to learn from change.

I've been trying recently to adapt some more "painterly" techniques into some of my sketches, by replacing pencils with brushes. It's an effort to emulate some of the aspects I like from Ehryel's work. Cass Hair and Streaming

I'm never going to get used to drawing Cassandra Cain hair as anything but the "OC version" that I'd been drawing for years now.

Anyway, I'm streaming this afternoon. There's gonna be some NSFW sketch commission work going on, depending on what people order. I also have to work on a comic so that's gonna get done. That won't be nsfw. I'm normally napping around this hour on Saturdays so we're gonna play this by ear.

Green Girls

Style over Substance?

I have to say I really like my current Destiny guardian. I play more than I should these days, but recently I got stuck into the lore and it's been firing up my imagination for big crazy cool things.

Anyway, I was pretty happy with the style of this drawing. The stream seemed to be too. It's nice cause she was also quick to draw, glossing over the finer points of anatomy can both help production and legibility of the drawing. I don't think I'd ever fully go super styled but practicing more...

Character Design

Okay folks, so it's kinda been settled that this design is going to be the star of an adult comic I'll be working on. I'm not gonna tell ya'll the plot just yet cause it's a pretty funny one, and hopefully it's still pretty unique by the time I finish it.

What I do need are names. Without getting too much into detail of the thing, I need a name for this girl. AND a name for a sexy/frisky version of her. I already have a suggestion I like, but I'd like to hear from you guys.

But not the end of sketch commissions. Okay so here's the details so far, and I need to be fair and pretty clear about this. It's possible to change it, but sketch commission tier as we know them is probably going to have to go away. I'd been having trouble with them all year and things were coming to a head.

was practicing exaggerating definition a bit more. Please don't pay attention to the bad anatomy. But there are some nice techniques I wanna try to increase visual clarity of where muscles are. 

Been down and out

I've gotta admit, I've been really kinda feeling the weight of all the outstanding commissions. I hadn't gotten any real work on them done this month. And I'd been really slacking on the updates. It's getting to the point where it's ruining my health, as much as my self esteem. And then there's a lot more to cover beyond that with seemingly never ending deadlines.

I'm always the first to admit, that I suffer a fair bit from "same face" syndrome. That's fair. I don't really do enough to counter that. But I'm gonna at least try for better more expressive faces. If anything it's just to keep myself from getting bored drawing the same look all the time.

Extraction Complete

There are a couple differences here that are worth noting in terms of what they might mean for production. This sketch, and it is a bit rough in a number of important places, still tells me that I can cut down on some of the unnecessary complexity I bring to a lot of images.

Notably, I should probably drop the "red line anatomy layer" fans of my stream are so used to seeing. I could however just make a slightly tighter sketch layer, and I can alter with transform tools as needed.
