This is silly stuff.

But it goes back to when these two were fanart characters in very awkward scenarios. I always felt a little uncomfortable about that for a number of reasons. I don't really like taking a kids franchise like W.I.T.C.H. and filling the tag with adult art. I thought Alessandro Barbucci's characters were beautiful so I enjoyed drawing them but I wanted to be cautious about posting stuff publicly.

Nothing much today, I was just playing with some coloring methods and ended up reverting back to the one I usually do.

I didn't make a lot of time for extra drawings this past week. Frankly a lot of time was eaten up cuddled into a ball of self loathing. But that's not abnormal. Besides work on cassiopeia, here's a bit of color on that popular android 18 pic. I'll probably finish her up sometime.

Fairly straightforward, Colette combined with my current Dragon Ball obsession.

I actually don't like how this came out but other people did. Something was feeling funny with the pencil brush and the lines didn't feel like I wanted them to. So something is off with the shapes. Not quite sure what to attribute it to but I don't think it's anything really tangible I can point out.

A little How To (nsfw?)

I had this idea right after drawing that other Chun-li thing. It like it a lot so there's a good chance I'll make a finished version of this.

But right now there's an Android 21 thing sorta taking priority. I'm usually like 12 years too late to get on board a "waifu" fandom but I think this week I've got a couple of pieces coming that are unusually prescient.

Man that dress is silly.

I don't have too much to add right now, my brain is feeling a little fried as I type this. But I really like Chun Li and I don't draw her nearly enough. I love her ridiculous black dress outfit and she's had some other fun ones in Street Fighter V. She has been giving the Dead or Alive girls a run for their money though, in terms of ridiculous dlc. But I suppose that's Capcom chasing where the money is. And that's in awesome dress up games.

Cass Punch

Nothing too much to add here. I like the flow of these poses but it actually doesn't look a lot like Cass. Instead I could just say this is some new punch happy girl.

I'm getting more aware of same face issues and it's something I need to protect myself against when it comes to designing characters. I can try to help myself by creating easy to remember landmarks during concept phases. It'll be a little harder to do on established comics like Cassiopeia but I'm already starting to keep in mind ...

I probably should draw her more often! But you can frankly find enough excellent art of her out there that I wouldn't be really contributing too much to the pool. I kinda like how this one came out.

I really like textured brushes and getting the feel of an artist through seeing their brushes in their work. There's absolutely beauty in perfectly clean and super well modeled work. But there's a beauty to seeing imperfections too. There's beauty in a lot of things.

Boobs are a little weird here but it's alright (pinup)

Nothing much to this one. I love her expression and I like the painterly quality of the colors here. But I admit the anatomy is a bit wonky.

I was experimenting with an art program on a tablet PC for this. And it came out pretty good. I experiment and like playing a lot with Tablet PCs, trying to find one that I feel most comfortable with. Right now, the best for just sketching comfortably has got to be the iPad pro. The Surface Pro is brilliant if you travel a lot and have got work to do.

I sketched their OC. It was a bit quick, I didn't have my head in the game while doing it. But I actually like the attitude and the expression a bunch. I'm happy it came out alright.

I haven't sketched a lot this weekend, preferring to take a break from work. And when I was working, I had a big page to complete on cassiopeia. Infact I just spent most of it sleeping.
