Getting back into the swing of things. Maybe instead of trying to pressure myself into posting everyday, I'll be better able to post every OTHER day.
I rather like how this expression came out. The modelling isn't super smooth. It wasn't intended to be. I could spend hours going over the colors to get a smoother effect but that's boring and frankly not always worth it especially for a "no big idea" drawing like this.

I've been a bit of a mess but this drawing came out okay. It's one of the few I've done in the past couple weeks. This is a pretty old pic that I still kinda like. It was early days before the Cassiopeia Quinn comic actually launched and I just had that bit of key art I could pretend would be good merchandise. Maybe it still can be good merchandise some day.

I really wanted to complete this piece as I think the sentiment is very natural and lots of people feel the same way. The pencil lines here are more like my really soft curves which feel right for simple portraits.

This continues to be dumb and I'm going to keep doing it as long as it makes me laugh.
That might not be that long really, it's hard to mine this basic concept for good ideas that haven't been done better by other artists. First drawing in a few days and my hand didn't explode.
Came out pretty nice. I was just leaning more into curves for this drawing. I feel like I enjoy drawing curves a lot but I should learn to vary them with straight lines too. It's one thing to have an entire shape out of organic curves but it can be a little boring. Well... not boring but just repetitive. Great art balances all sorts of disparate elements to do the job.

It was combining my pencil drawing with a thick ink line. It was a very appealing effect to me. I wonder if I should bring that back. It was a way of bringing some lively outlines to tan illustration.

The color in this one is really rather gorgeous. The sketch is very loose and would probably look better cleaned up but that's a very appealing amber color. I thought it was worth posting again.
