Self Care

This has been an odd month. It disappeared very quickly for me though in the last week I've been focused more on self care and having nice things. I still need to get caught up on a lot of tasks and to that end I've setup a large to do list to get various things done in the next few months.

NSFW and lewd faces and stuff

Does marking the title as NSFW work for most people? I hope it does. I also wanna spend more time posting nsfw stuff but not like... too much. I dunno. I guess being openly an adult patreon means it's a binary on and off position but so many of my posts aren't going to be nsfw. Anyway, I talk about this a lot and my hemming and hawing around it can probably get annoying.

I just wanted to practice more "lewd" drawings because I have fun with it and it's challenging to do.

Magical Girl Transformation Sequence

I could draw the hands better in this pic but I think I got across something I really wanted to.

I've been thinking a lot about... a lot of stuff. At least one of those things has been makeup. And I'm not about to go off on a rant here about objectification, you know I love pinups. But there's a hell of a lot of work that goes into being pretty! I think a fun experiment to do would be to like... take really good pinup art and then draw a comic leading up to the photo shoot. Some further testing of exaggerated poses but also another realization. I think there's an appeal to having these really dead simple 3/4th shots of a character's face. Having a simple "talking head" in a comic isn't inherently a bad solution to solving the narrative problem. If I want to have a character just talking and expressing themselves, a simple 3/4 view portrait is all I need for that panel. You don't want to always be doing an action shot or really complicated shot.

It's Still April Right?

This isn't really as kinky as I'm likely to get but I think it might still count. Anyway, I really missed out on filling this month with April O'neil drawings. I've got some time so maybe I can try to fix that.

I've spent the past couple of days experimenting with getting more energetic poses and stuff. It's nice when I have a totally empty canvas to just draw expressive bodies onto but it's harder to translate that into an actual comic page. 

More Colette and Stuff

Here's a thing. I did a quick sketch of my old Fallout OC "Chet" and the newer Colette the other day, just to see how the characters might look side by side. This is obviously a really rough drawing but it still exposes some potential issues I would run into if I wanted to put them in the same story.

Now, probably should answer why I would think about putting them in the same story to begin with. Chet's a design I'll never get to use being an OC in an established universe that I'll probably ne...

Just Some Girl

Kinda wish there was more to these sketches but I suppose there isn't too much to say. This page of drawings utilized a sort of "light touch" that I enjoyed when working zoomed in but falls apart a little when I have to zoom out and get the whole pose.

The problem of working both in extremely close and the overall image really far is combinging the two disciplines to be as one whole. Ya know... like the problem of combining Relativity and Quantum Theory. It's just as complicated.

Some Colette Faces

Nothing too much to add here, though I think overall these are actually really good expressions for Colette. Well... except the lewd one on the bottom right. The others I didn't really have a goal in mind for what I was going to draw and the expressions are subtle and natural and interesting. The lewd one on the bottom I resorted to some standard issue signs that make it feel a little cookie cutter even among my lewd face drawings. Froppy! My Hero Academia Fan Art

I like Froppy a bunch. She's a couple of my character types rolled into a goofy (and popular) side character in a pretty great superhero anime. I like her design as a frog based superhero cause it encourages a lot of unusual posing and extreme exaggeration on her hands and feet. Her simplified face is also just a lot of fun to picture.

Some Cool Cats

I spent like an evening experimenting with some changes in body types. It's something I've struggled with but something about designing characters as cat people allowed me to think very differently about their overall shapes. People do too, but when it came to intentionally allowing my characters to look more cartoonish it forced me to explore further rather than rely on my familiar tropes.

Standard Psu Drone

Not neccesarily kinky on the outset but I kinda like form fitting cyber suits so I suppose it's already well known I have a thing for this stuff.

This particular design is actually pretty nice and I came across it easily, but I think that's because it's just the most recent version of a long line of ladies in cyber armor emphasizing my favorite curves and details.

That Character from Hellsing Pinup

I never really watched the series much. But I sorta appreciate it for what it appears to be. Basically edgy violence with some sexy male and female leads thrown about, often throwing knives and bullets at each other. It's a pretty good example of clarity of purpose that is nothing to be ashamed of. And it's something I wish I was clearer on for myself.

Some older racing suit concepts (kinky)

Not sure I've shared this one before. Sorry, I'm nursing a pretty bad headache and probably can't string too many good sentences together about it. But I'll be brief in that my favorite thing about coming up with designs for skin tight suits is that you don't really need to work too hard. Just don't get in the way of what's appealing about who's in the suits.

Nothing too much to add that I haven't covered before. I think instead of trying to figure out the arms and leg ahead of time, I'll just draw her a bunch in light sketches. And then hopefully I'll start figuring out the way I like drawing that arm through natural iterations.
