V.II Snail Talk Test

V.II Snail's sprite-animation talk test! I know Snail stans are a different breed, but I hope you all enjoy this. He was especially tricky to animate.

I know Pater's not super popular, but here's his talk test. His body is posed like that because it's technically his piloting pose, but those are the voice lines I had on hand. Now it's a very intense zoom call.

For you who don't recognize this piece, this is actually 87 layers ready to be rigged in Spine (a 2D animation software) and tested for viability as opposed to sprite animation. Walter Intro Cutscene Storyboards - Early Release

As the title suggests, these are storyboards to Walter's introduction cutscene in Chapter 002 [The Doghouse], when 621 finally encounters him for the first time. These cuts are best case scenario, and there's always a chance some scenes, however few there are, may need to be cut to descope development.

We have a very, very rare glimpse behind Raven's helmet here. Whether or not they keep that expression time will tell. Hope you enjoy some of my messy process here.

My mom was annoyed I had not sent her any of my fan art from Armored Core or my fan game (Amour’d Core). She texted me back all of her favorite characters. My parents have always been extremely encouraging in my love of video game art, and my career as a developer and artist. Just feeling very grateful right now for my parents who have never once shamed me for loving video games. This text made me a little homesick - even with Rusty‘s butt in the screenshot.

Yue Yu portrait for a member of Tier That Pierces the Heavens, with alternate palettes! The Basho pieces are not very glamourous in terms of shape, so I worked very hard on the weathering, and to give it as much character as possible. I love Yue Yu's color scheme, and I hope I gave it justice. PSD and .clip files will be available soon.

Announcement!

Without naming any names I have been informed that the original voice cast appearance will not be possible for Amour'd Core, as Bandai Namco and Fromsoftware possess the character and recording rights. It's a shame but it is what it is.

The good news is that if you'd like to audition for a part you are welcome to! I will make a more official announcement for what parts we need in the future, as well as lines with voice direction, but if you'd like to submit a demo reel ahead of time yo...

Pilot Comparison

I get told all the time my version of Rusty looks like Lockon Stratos. While they are indeed similar, there is at least one major difference, which I have illustrated here for comparison.
