October 12, "More Vicious Molag Bal Animations"

Since I'm a lazy person. I setup a deadline for next mod. 

October 12, I will release my next mod "More Vicious Molag Bal Animations".

 39 motion clips to go. Some motion takes a day, some takes a week but I calculated as 1 motion clip per day generally. 

Also, I only have one weekend holiday every two weeks. Please don't ask me why. It's very shameful reason...I'll leave it up to your imagination.

Motion capture data into Skyrim!!

I did a small test this weekend.
I made MotionBuilder rig. And I downloaded motion capture data from Carnegie Mellon University website. Applied it to my rig, then it worked in Skyrim!   

That rough gif animation is untweaked raw mocap data but I heard MotionBuilder has lots of function that polish such data. I'll find it and make it useful to make new "More Vicious Molag Bal Combat animations" View Post

cant annotate hkx

I used whole this weekend still cant use hkxmerge. seems that program intended to use with tktk's blender rig and figment's hkxcmd. not maya and ck-cmd.

I need to annotate my hkx otherwise can't merge them. but I'm run out of ideas. dont know what to try.

converting hkx to kf with hkxcmd's convertkf command does not work as long as I convert fbx to hkx with ck-cmd since it does not rid of scale attributes, maybe.

new hug animation test still fail

I'm trying to make alternative hug animation. It's hard as sh*t. bodies bend weirdly, player shrink to none. camera stuck into ground somehow.

I have to convert animation file like fbx→2 hkxs(without annotation)→kf→2 hkx(annotated)→merge into 1 hkxs. There must be something wrong in this looong process but I'm getting tired to find out.


IDK, every processes are suspicious. All I have to do is just check them one by one. I'm going to find some way to check kf fil...

Faster and more accurate rig!!!

I built animation rig. actually I already had human rig but this new one is more accurate(less visual gap between 3DCG program and in-game) and easy to export to Skyrim.

almost there!!!!

No, its not almost there!!!! I just realized that I have to make 

・3 stagger animations(small / large / stealth attacked)

・4 recoils(attack cancel animations for 4 each attacks)

・3 bleedouts (start / loop / getup)

・2 getup animations(face up / down)

・1 unequip(quit combat state)

more 13 animation clips to go!!

These 2 gifs are the animations that I made this weekend. attack back and shield bash.

TowerGiant animation progress and New project

Giant combat animations are bit hard to make. 

Some vanilla giant animation "skates"(see orange skeleton gif). but we usually sees animation like the green skeleton gif in skyrim. 

So I have to make skatey animation intentionally, to prevent we get skatey animation in-game.

I'm checking how much should I skate for each animation to make animation. that is why this takes time. I wish I could tweak behavior file for each character...

animation rig worked!!

I made animation rig for the Tower giant and tested, it's worked.

There are 70 animations for giant, in combat and non combat.

Some animations might not have to make, since my aim is make Vigilant TowerGiant act like a civilized.

Even so, I have to make over 50 animations. 

Recently I'm getting hard to keep my motivation to make mods. 

since this modding activity has not led to any friends, job offer or money. literally nothing.
