Limitations of smooth shading

With that Pokemilf pic I did, I changed the way I shaded so it was a bit more textured and less smooth. I realised that rendering with the perfectly smooth brush that I used made it so that I couldn't get down texture and depth the way I wanted to. Hopefully it makes my art look a little nicer, so let me know what you think of that Pokemilf pic

So since last week, I had caught COVID, and it kicked the absolute shit out of me the first few days, and I'm feeling a little better now, though I'm still not 100%. During this time I had planned out the idea of trying adopts again since I was feeling a little creatively frustrated, and I've been doing a tiny bit of work here and there, so it's not all bad.
