The other project was this one, which really just came up this past week.
I haven't made videos about any online races I've done since May 1 of this year. The online race I had on Tuesday is the Platonic example of why that is- by which I mean, what happened to me in this race is what happened to me in the vast majority of the races I've been in, to the point that I stopped recording them altogether over the summer.
I'd hoped this one would be different. I was wrong, and I was ang...

Well, I haven't got much writing done, because I focused my free time on redoing the White Lightning Productions website, which I hadn't done in ten years. Still work to do on other pages, but the main page links are updated with new functions and stuff: https://wlpcomics.com/
And, also, I had a couple of video projects get in the way. The first one was originally intended to go out before Halloween, but I ran out of time be...

Chapter 2
You humans have some weird legends about weres in general and werewolves especially. One of them is this idea that we werewolves are solitary, lonely creatures, and... well, that’s just dumb. There’s NEVER just one werewolf. In fact, werewolves are the LEAST solitary were type. We organize for mutual support, boosting each other’s businesses, making connections to open doors among humans on the quiet, covering up for the occasional... okay, in my case freq...

Well, my financial outlook for the next six months or so indicates I really need to find some way to get back to writing on a regular basis.
And, as it happens, I have multiple writing projects, and one of those is one that's been hanging fire for fourteen months... on a separate Patreon that, in all honesty, has no reason to exist anymore.
An hour or so ago I announced its shutdown over there, and I'm moving the Peter is the Wolf novelization project over here. Her...

Nearly three years ago I did one of my earliest Assetto Corsa videos, imitating the person who inspired me to give simracing a try. Well, recently he did it again, so of course I have to, because copycats gotta copy.
I took a 2021 F1 car around the Nords, not knowing the track at all, on base setup in 5:42.5 three years ago. What can I do with three years of learning how to play the game?

To be fair, the cello they brought me was a very fine one, although I did have to send them back for a pitch pipe, a bow and some resin. I felt guilty even as I applied the resin to the bow and began tuning the instrument, although that guilt quickly vanished as I noticed how every shining blue eye in the swarm surrounding me stared in rapt attention at something as simple as tuning an instrument. Of course I didn't make the strings squeal- I am a professional, thank you, and even in tuning I...

(1) Today I'm doing prep for an endoscopy-colonoscopy tomorrow. I was due for it anyway (5 years since the last), and recent increases in acid reflux and intestinal discomfort makes it good timing.
(2) Friday- the day after I go under general anasthesia for the poop snoop- I need to trap at least one of the feral cats and take them to a clinic (NOT free) to be fixed. The best I can do is take one every other week because the clinic only does it on Fridays, and I have conventions to sell...

I had a good race three months back, but a boring race.
Then I watched a replay of a livestream by the guy who spent the whole race behind me.
I was so amused at how he saw me that I made this video.

"What do you think you're doing?" Dragonfly- she looked almost exactly like the others except for her wings, but I recognized the unique timbre of her buzzing voice instantly- zipped over to the group of normal-sized monsters who had apparently shepherded the truly enormous monster to this place.
"Hey, we wanna see a real fight," one of the escort creatures sneered. "Let's see Miss Tough Pony take down Cetonius!"
"Cetonius isn't a fighter!" Dragonfly insisted. "He's a digger! Who...

That Dragonfly creature turned out to be absolutely correct: Ichneumon had the kind of face that simply demanded to be hit.
He reminded me of Prince Blueblood- I've met him twice, as of the date of this statement. The second time he was unobjectionable, in that it was a Canterlot garden party and he was trying to pass through the hoi polloi as quickly as possible. Then, with his attention elsewhere, he looked like a remarkably handsome and well-ke...

Yes, it's been months.
Part of it is that I've been working hard as hell with the convention-vending side of my business. My goals for that for this year are to clear out about $10,000 of credit card debt and then to stash away enough into savings to get me through the winter when shows are few and far between. The good news is, I've pretty much covered the first part of that goal. The bad news is, I've done it by averaging more than one show every other week so far this year, which ha...

Well, here's another video, finally. Another one is in the editing process, and I hope to get it out before I leave for Anime Festival Wichita.
This time the wacky cars are either real or fictional versions of real cars... but they're still pretty wacky.

Christ, it's been five months since I last wrote anything besides a restock order. Let's get back on that, finally.
I didn't say anything. What could I say?
I was tired. I hurt- for all my quick thinking and the rather substandard skill of my opponents, they had gotten some good hits in, and I could feel bruises under my fur already. And all my fighting had won for me was an audience- and not the refined, culturally minded audience...

It'll probably be about a month before I edit another video- I'll be focusing on writing this week before I head up to Memphis for MidSouthCon.

Another MLP fanfic, this one written strictly for fun.
For non-MLP fans, a quick note: the Great and Powerful Trixie is a unicorn who is mostly a stage magician- she knows very little actual magic. In later seasons a certain friend taught her a transmogrification spell... which Trixie can use, but only to turn things into teacups.
That, plus the title of another fic, triggered this bit of silliness.

I race a lot on SimRacing.gp , and I'm a low-level admin for one of the larger communities there. Someone asked about the Honda Acty and getting it on that platform, so I did a video about how fun- and flawed- the mod is, and why it likely won't get on SGP.

The fact was, Honeybee Studios was a dump.
Oh, there were attempts to keep it clean, especially the seats where the live audience sat during the taping of comedies and special events. And practically any moment when a camera wasn't rolling, hammers and saws were making enough noise that the actors had to shout their script read-through rehearsals. But in the end the best sol...

Let's just jump in...
There have always been stories, since time immemorial, of rulers who disguised themselves as commoners so they could see and hear what their subjects were thinking. Most of them, Chrysalis knew, were claptrap, but for a changeling ruler it was dirt easy- so long as none of your subjects looked directly at you, that is.
Transforming into a stalagmite in one particularly popular cavern of the hive was simplicity itself. She placed he...
