HOWDY DOODY TOOTY FRUITIES
All winter I have been clowning around in New Orleans. You may not know, there is some serious clown culture down there, so it’s a great place to let your clown out. Oh no! What about imposter syndrome? Well 1. You can at any point in your life connect with something that makes you feel more comfortable expressing yourself and 2. I‘ll clue you in on a little secret… I was a WEIRD KID AHAHAHAHA and I used to do weird make up and costumes and make videos in the early youtube days. Thank goodness most of those have been removed from existence / the internet. But, a part of me kind of wishes I could go back and look. I was a theatre kid and if I met a circus I could have run away with, I think I would have. Here’s a bunch of recent clown photos; I made sure to include some that I haven’t shared elsewhere.
Through the years the clowning has visited, but this winter I was much more consistent with it. I’ve been learning that it‘s a coping mechanism in ways I can’t even begin to verbalize. And I’m even more motivated to “commit to the bit.” The reality is I’m always fooling around and somehow wearing the clown make up - it just makes more sense to me. A close friend said, “you’re always like that but maybe it helps you be more comfortable being yourself.” It’s true, I’ve always had characters, funny voices, silly freestyles, improv/miming etc etc etc.
So cheers to clowning and fuck niches. I’m an artist, a singer/ songwriter, a baby musician of a few instruments, a clown, a performance artist and so on and so forth. I’ve decided I don’t need to focus on one aspect of myself even for social media - I am what I am and you get the WHOLE package :P Thanks for supporting me so unconditionally. Reach out.
WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME??
P.S. Don’t forget to follow my instagram, facebook, and TikTok for more consistent posts and videos of my music. You can find me all those places @findfoot
