Update #1: Full-Time Day-Job

Thank you so much to everyone who's pledged so far. The support and encouragement I've received in this first two weeks has really made me excited to make more Day Job. And although the current pledges aren't quite enough to live on, I've decided to pour everything I've got into expanding the patreon to keep the series going strong.

Leaving my job:
In two weeks, I'll be leaving my full-time animation job to focus on this series and give it the best chance it can get. It's a leap of faith, but doing this means I'll have more time to create shorts for the youtube channel, and link viewers to the patreon, which is my best shot at growing my pledges. I'll focus on this plan for around 3 months, and then re-evaluate in the 2nd half of the year. I'd say having almost $400 in my first month is pretty good. And again, if I can reach $1500 per month, I'll be back to making 10 minute episodes like the ones on ABC. Thank you all for making this possible, and here's hoping the pledge numbers don't drop lol

Stickers printed:
The Pin Monkey (set A) stickers have been printed. It's my first time getting stickers printed so I decided to only order 100 of each, just in case they come out shit. Luckily, between High and Mid tier pledges, there are less than 100 of you, which means all High and Mid tier patrons should get stickers. Just make sure to send me your postage address in a DM! If you missed out, I'll be making more soon, and Set A will probably go on an online shop soon enough

New Videos:
I'll be posting a high quantity of VERY short new videos soon. Bear with me, as I'm still tied up working full-time, so these videos will be very short, but on the plus side there will be quite a number of them. Other than that, I'm also planning to make short sketches after my job ends, though nothing has been planned in detail just yet.

Social Media:
Two Day Job tweets have gone viral since opening the patreon, including a tweet with 2 million views. The tiktok also jumped from 200 followers to 3600 in the past 2 days, with one tiktok reaching 600,000 plays. I'm sure many of you had a lot to do with these spreading around, so thank you all for the reposts.
Portioning out clips from the ABC shorts has been my focus while working full time, mostly due to time constraints. Sorry if anyone's getting tired of seeing old clips; there are still a few more to come. But on the plus side, they've worked wonders in growing my viewer base, and having consistent viral tweets will go a long way when pitching the show.

Potential Studio Partnership:
Networks feel a lot safer when a show pitch is partnered with a production company. I'm already in talks with a high-quality animation studio, and they're very interested in helping to pitch and produce Day Job. Though there's still a lot to negotiate, so time will tell.

Smiling Friends:
Season 2 of Smiling Friends has caused tons of hype since it was announced. Episode 8 will be my directorial debut on TV, and it's probably the best cartoon on TV right now, so hopefully that will help me sell Day Job. I'm curious how many Day Job fans are aware of my role on that show...

Next Reward: Admittedly, this first month of pledges was not really for profit. The money all went into the sticker giveaway, which means if I want to keep the donations next month, I'll have to think of a cheaper reward. Maybe personalized cartoon video messages, or short animation suggestions.
Although, if I just create a higher tier pledge, I can continue the sticker giveaway, with new stickers every month. It seems many patreon pages give stickers away for around $15 USD. I guess this means top pledgers would be donating to me, and also buying a sticker on top of that. But if that's the case, I could just as easily just sell stickers in the shop? Anyway... until next month, I'll be thinking of more ideas. And I'd love to hear your suggestions too in the comments.
