Master of One - Chapter 9

I've decided to slow down the plot a little at the beginning compared to previous iterations, to give me a chance to develop some personalities, reveal a little more backstory of some characters, and build up the world some more.
I'm also going to do the same thing I did with Augur Book 2 and create a pinned post for MoO current state. I'm up to about fifty pages now, and have a ways to go before it's done, but that way someone who wants to read the current state beginning to end doesn't need to track down the individual chapters.
