How To: Make Live Edits (with Eddie)

Got a guest with me this week, my buddy Eddie was in town and he had a couple of edits that weren't quite hitting the mark so we decided to film us fixing one up so its ready for live play! I show you a couple little tips to make sure its nice n loud and hitting the right spots as well as a general thought process throughout.

2023-10-20 00:07:46 +0000 UTCmelodic music is an exception here yeah. its often due to the sub not being as dominant and taking up that space even though its still super loud overall. the sub is the biggest waveform so its gonna cause that sausage

2023-10-17 22:10:17 +0000 UTCQuestion - I've noticed with our music and just melodic bass in general, I can get it pretty loud and sausaged - usually hitting like -4 or -5rms but its never quite that full bricked looking waveforms that i see from bass music. Is that due to a limiter vs just a clipper on the master?
