Hi everyone! ๐
Ten years ago (give or take a meter ๐), the 3DBenchy design by CreativeTools was published. Who doesn't know it, and who hasn't printed it?
The other day, this little boat became public domain.
In connection with this, Printables launched a flash contest called 'Benchy Remix' and I decided to contribute my own take.
DuckBenchy ๐ฆ and Goooosenchy ๐ฆข are the obvious names I chose for my designs ๐ค.

A few iterations later, and the design is complete!

Iโm working on several projects in parallel, one of which is about a goose.
Printed without supports in place โ honk-quack approved! โ
Although these are two different designs, structurally, the legs and beak are at the same height, which is convenient for two-color printing of both designs simultaneously. You'll save time and filament.

Both designs feature flexible legs. I set the gap at 0.3mm โ modern printers can easily handle even smaller gaps. Previously, I used a 0.4mm gap.
I also created Jeffenchy ๐ฆโ the land shark from Marvel. This design isnโt as sleek and requires supports for printing.
