Hi there!

I made another flexible vegetable, this time it's a sad eggplant π₯Ίπ.

There are 4 versions for printing: whole, in parts, with googly (wiggle) eyes, and just a faceless eggplant (I kept the hairstyle).
All parts print without supports β .
Assembly shouldn't be too difficult π§.

The pupils snap into the eyes with slight pressure, each eye is marked with R and L at the base. The eyes are glued into the eye sockets, and these areas have corresponding markings.
To make the eyes look original, follow the reference imageβjust pay attention to the highlight placement (in this case, a sharp angle in the upper right part of the eye). I mixed up left and right when looking from the eggplant's perspectiveβit's the oppositeβbut it's not critical π
, just follow the markings. The tongue and stem are also glued to the eggplant's body. The tongue is a bit trickier to glue since the mouth doesn't open wideβhope you have good fine motor skills π!

I made two versions of stems with different hole shapes - stem_v2.stl fits a smaller ring.

I tried different color variations, including flesh tone just for fun.

For the googly (wiggle) eyes version, the eye sockets are marked with G.
As I mentioned earlier, 7mm diameter works perfectly for my models, but you can also use 5mm, 10mm or 12mm - just scale the model in your slicer to 71% (for 5mm), 136% (for 10mm) or 160% (for 12mm) respectively.
Small versions with googly eyes look extremely cute βΊοΈ.

I've noticed sellers indicate sizes differently. Sometimes they list eyes as 6mm - this refers to approximately the diameter of the transparent part. The thin base of the eye in this case is 7mm (which is why I made the socket 7.5mm). The eyes themselves should definitely be glued - the adhesive backing isn't strong enough.
The whole version is relevant if you have an AMS and plan to print a batch, not just one.

The faceless eggplant version will be available on Cults3D, Printables, etc.
Apparently, other vegetables without distinct external features will be released as free downloads. Just like with previous vegetables, there's a small hole in the stem so you can hang it on a backpack or keychain π.

Sometimes I make a couple of versions with glossy eyes as gifts. For this, I treat them with dichloroethane (or dichloromethane) to smooth out the layer lines. The surface of the whites and pupils ends up looking very natural.
