His wrists were still sore from the restraints used to drag him here. He had no idea who these people were or what they wanted, but their intent was clearly far from innocent.
A sharp voice cut through his thoughts. “Welcome, Ethan,” a woman said, her tone cold and clinical. She stood behind a glass partition, wearing a white lab coat. “You’ve been selected for a very special project.”
Ethan struggled against his bonds, glaring at her. “What the hell are you talking about? Let me go!”
The woman smiled faintly, ignoring his protest. “Your genetic material is… exceptional. But it’s wasted on you as you are now. We’re going to rectify that.”
Before Ethan could demand an explanation, a series of robotic arms descended from the ceiling, their metallic claws whirring as they positioned themselves around him. His clothes were stripped away with mechanical efficiency, leaving him shivering and exposed.
A thin, cold needle pressed against his neck. He barely had time to cry out before the sedative took hold, his vision blurring as his body sagged against the restraints.
