Weekly Update (9-29-2025)

I managed to finish up most of the asset work I needed for this update (making new character assets etc.) and get a real start on the writing. Hoping I can push through with that this week. I'm still not feeling the best, but it's better than it was, and experience tells me that the best way to feel better is to feel productive. Not much drags me down like feeling I'm not getting enough done, heh.
Anyway, with some debugging help from Rachnera, I got that issue with the rebinding fixed. I do need to do a little more work to add some custom commands though. I'm considering releasing a preview with the rebinding/controller stuff implemented so we can get any issues with that ironed out before the actual update. Would this be of interest to anyone? It would be a fairly easy thing to do on my end if anyone would be interested in trying--probably around this weekend or so. If you'd be interested in trying it, let me know. Not a big deal if no one is, though.
In other news, I think Mimo's back to work. Unfortunately, she lost the data on her iPad. :/ For a small mercy, she had sent me fairly extensive previews of Lorena's art so far, so hopefully it won't actually mean starting over on that since she can hopefully work from those to get back into it.
In addition, we've hit 1600 players and 65 reviews on steam! Small milestones, but progress is progress. It does make me happy to see hints of things picking up momentum a little bit, and I hope that this trend will continue!
Anyway, for now, back to work on the update.
