It's 5am now, what have I done

Dawid Zawolski

It was fun trying to figure out all the places in the film. The final scene is at Castro and Market , two blocks from where we live. Mark and I got married (after 27 years together) last year in San Francisco City Hall. They schedule a ceremony every 20 minutes (and are generally booked months in advance). You have to bring your own witness, and you're limited to 6 guests!

Douglas Rayner

It may have taken me until the evening of the day after this went up for me to watch it, but I’m glad I finally did because I really liked what happened in this movie. It showed a lot of growth in Patrick, who is finally learning not to make quite so many bad decisions. And it gave nice closure for all the other characters as well. P.S. Tyne Daly’s cameo appearance was a total delight!

Lane Wright

Too bad is Looking are discontnue.

Eric Law

Yeah, agreed. I read that scene as multi-layered. Yes Kevin is being an ass, yes Patrick ran away and is getting called out for it in a semi public way. But also Kevin is hurt, still loves Patrick and wanted it to work. Like Doris and Augustine end up also saying, "it's better to have tried and lost than to not try at all." Patrick gave up on him and Kevin too fast, where it could of worked out... but I can agree that the relationship was always doomed from the start bc it started as an affair. So while it's true they could of tried and it was never given the proper go... Patrick ended it and ran. He's now talking that lesson in stride and applying it to Richie

I think that for him to get to the point where he could realise that being away from SF wasn’t what he needed as being alone was lonely was really helpful on him being able to talk to Kevin and to close that door once and for all which then allowed him to get back on track with Ritchie ❤️

Audrey Gunn

I think specially the last conversation between Patrick and Kevin was really important. Hard to watch, but necessary.

Ingrid Machado Pena

Okay. Just finished. I know. I know. Some ppl hate/despise Kevin and all he stands for.. But with the final convo between Richie and Patrick fresh in my brain: upon reflection, I kind of think that Patrick wouldn't of been in the same head space to confess his love and what that means to him, had he not had the convo with Kevin. Not just between him and Kevin, but also the stoned convo in bed with Dom, the two additional convos with Augustine the day before and day of the ceremony, plus the one with Doris at the bar. All of those micro revelations and getting some outside perspectives led him to that final revelation.

Michael D

I just got to the part of seeing one very blonde individual. If I remember correctly that was their hair at the time of filming due to being in a revival of Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge, on Broadway.

Michael D

My heart is in peace now. ♥️ I love that ending. The last scene? You can feel the love! Team Richie and team Eddie all the way. ♥️♥️♥️ I have to say though that scene between Patrick and Dom really scared me. 😂

Ingrid Machado Pena

OMG!!! Our dreams did come true! 🎉🎊👏 I was team Richie from the first look on the subway and I was so hoping that just maybe, they might get together at the end. What a great ending to a wonderful series. And I love the emphasis on lasting friendship in the final scene of them sitting round the table together. ❤️

We moved to SF from NY in 1995 just before the dot com bubble. Have now been through several boom and bust cycles. I’m much more comfortable walking the streets here today than I was in Manhattan in the 80s and early 90s. The national media always exaggerates how good/bad things are. Yes, there are people camping on sidewalks in places but sadly you can find that in any major US city these days. If you look beyond headlines to actual statistics, crime is lower here than other places that get less attention. Frankly I think the robo-taxi scourge foisted upon us by tech mogels constitutes more of a day-to-day threat to quality of life. Still the location remains gorgeous. The weather delightful. We’re having a “heat wave” today with a high of 77F (25C) but the forecast for tomorrow and the foreseeable future is a more typical 65F (18C). This weekend, we’ll be driving an hour north over the GGB to meet friends for brunch and wine tasting. Yes, it really is a hellhole here. Stay away.

Mark Edwards

Sadly I'm in complete agreement. It's not what it once was. To be honest I'd rather go to Denver or even Austin right now

Trey Cummins

Yes sometimes it’s hard to sort out what events happen in which season so as not to spoil anything.

Diane Furlong

Yay, I’m so glad the ending wasn’t spoiled for you. We had to bite our tongues all through Season 2! 💜

San Francisco is a soulful and charming city but one that is definitely going through a tough time now. I travelled there quite a bit for work before the pandemic as many of my clients are in Silicon Valley. The last time I was there, it felt like a shell of itself with public drug use, homelessness, and petty crime out of control of local authorities. I believe very strongly that established cities like San Francisco, ones that its inhabitants really and truly care about, will always find a way to bounce back. Maybe by the time you're able to travel there, JRL, it will be back to its old, lovely self.

Dave K.

Jackie, I know you’re not going to agree with me. Yes, there were so many things wrong in Kevin and Patrick’s relationship but that last scene at the top of the steps brings me to tears every time. Through the whole series I kept a shred of hope that something would turn around for them. After seeing the series several times I suppose I should come to grips that it’s not going to change 🤷🏻‍♀️😢 Well done Jackie! Thank You Side note Raul/Richie got married a few months ago and Jonathan/Patrick officiated at the ceremony

Diane Furlong

It’s been a few months since I’ve watched this. It’s going to be fun watching along with you Jackie I totally agree with you about Brady, Jackie
