Hey guyss!! How's it going? I hope you're having a lovely weekend ✨🌻 I've been pretty good, drawing regularly and keeping up with deadlines! When client work seems under control I can breathe in peace lol.

I even had some time to draw on my sketchbook a bit, I really needed a traditional art session. For these pages I had fun using a mix of Ohuhu markers, Kuretake graphic twin markers and colored pencils :)!! For the inking I used Copic multiliners and the pentel pocket brush.

I also wanted to share with you one of the illustrations I finished today for Mini Gallery! I struggled a bit with this one, because at first I had just a moody mermaid picking up her hair and I wasn't sure what I wanted to communicate, it seemed a bit boring. Then I decided to add a barracuda to kinda accentuate this concept of "threatening" and finally added some thorns to the roses, playing around with soft/dangerous elements.

And I'm happy how it turned out in the end! I've been listening to this song the whole time btw

I don't know if you noticed, but I've been coloring the lineart in my latest illustrations. I have mixed feelings about this because I think black lineart is something very characteristic of my style but at the same time I can see how coloring the lines make the overall colors of the piece pop up so much more, creating more harmony.

I don't know if I'll keep doing this in future drawings, but please let me know what you think of this of this way of painting! I'd really appreciate it.
