Seen here in her full dress uniform... she's a hell of an engineer. Keeps the Explosivo running smooth even though it's just a cargo ship doing runs. Three times a year the Explosivo makes the trip from it's home planet of Tangi to a distant moon in another sector called Roth. On the way there they bring mining equipment and replacement parts, and ship back the ore which is mined on Roth. The UTF uses the material to make weapon cores for an ongoing war of attrition. While military service on Tangi isn't yet mandatory (yet), everyone is expected to volunteer unless they have skills necessary to maintaining the home front.

Freya has "Level 2" cybernetics, common with her generation and implanted mostly for entertainment value, which allow her to download and exchange information in real time through a series of serial ports (mostly in the back of her neck). This (highly sought after in a recruit) and her natural aptitude for mechanical and electronic engineering landed her a near immediate promotion to Lieutenant and a post on a ship with a very famous captain- Captain Fox Morrison Jr. He was asked to "mold" her into the ideal soldier, like he once was. Of course... if you've read issue one... You see how that relationship actually developed.

Freya is a patriotic civilian in a uniform. She takes her job seriously, but enjoys her off hours on her terms. Which usually means with one or more of her shipmates.
