Salmy

Hello, people from the future! Once again, Paco from the past writting to all of you. This is a post written immediately after posted the previous one, on February 5th.

I had worked on this acrylics painting on February 3rd. But I wanted to keep this as a surprise, especially since Salmy is also on this group.
More than a gift, it was a tricky move by him, I owed him money and he asked me that if I could do any drawing instead of paying him, that it could be whatever. So I took that artistic freedom he offered me and I painted a portrait of his fursona.

I wanted to work on a simple portrait on traditional media, and around half a year ago I had bought this oval canvas but I couldn't think on something cool to do with it until now. The idea of making a portait was after seeing the work of the artist RaccoonWolf, who works with oil painting, and I could analyze his artwork and I realized he always started with a complete opposite color than the rest of the canvas, to force a complete saturation instead of starting with a white canvas (something I've been doing in some digital paintings).

My plan is to start working as well with oil painting, but I need to fix my garden so I can work outdoors (I don't want to intoxicate myself on my indoor studio with all the oils, turpentine and solvents.

What do you think? Would it be worthy to take some commissions at some point of portraits like this one? People would be interested in this? Sometimes I want to offer paintings, illustrations, compositions... but people is wanting me to open for Telegram stickers or ref sheets, and definitely I'm not moved to do those kind of drawings.

Well, at this point when I'm posting this, hopefully, Salmy already saw this painting in person. I'm not sure when I'm going to post it on my galleries, but now you all are seeing it.

I also recorded a time-lapse video with my phone, you can watch it on the attached file on this post.

I don't know so far if at this point when this post is live here on Patreon... I have finished any of those commissions I took for the trip (or even if I'm alive)

I love you all! Thank you for keep being here with me!

So cool.

If I could afford it, yes I would love a portrait of MB, or MB and his friends having fun. I just have to get the money first hehe.
