Upcoming Videos - Winter 2022/3

Hi everyone, 

Hope you are keeping well. Here's an update on what videos are coming up on the channel over the next couple of months. 

After completing the Falklands series, the name of the game has been a lot of researching and planning, to work out what projects I want to work on and in which order. The easiest way for me to bring you all into the loop is to go through each active project in turn. 

Glowworm 

The next video after the falklands series was orignally intended to be one about HMS Glowworm, the British destroyer that physically clashed bow-to-bow with the German heavy cruiser in April 1940. 

There was an unfortunate delay on the animation of this video which meant it got pushed back, so I am hoping that we can see this video published sometime in January. I'll keep you posted. 

Jervis Bay 

The gap in the release schedule caused by the delay to the Glowworm project is being filled by another similar video - about the heroic sacrifice of HMS Jervis Bay to protect an Allied Convoy in November 1940. 

This video has been assembled at speed and will be published on Saturday 26 November. Early access for it will be up today for Gold and Silver patrons so look out for that. 

Shinano 

Coming in December is a shift from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and a look at the sinking of the Japanese supercarrier Shinano in November 1944.  This will be a big video, looking at it from both the perspective of the submarine crew and the aircraft carrier, with a detailed breakdown of *how* the ship sunk that I am very proud of.

You should expect this video around 15-20 December

Battle of the Atlantic 

The first 'big' project of 2023 is going to be on the Battle of the Atlantic. I haven't yet decided how many videos or exactly how it will be structured, but a lot of research has been done and I really went to tell the story of what was the most important, decisive battle of WW2. 

Key parts to cover will be the development of convoy, the liberty ships, the juggernaut that was American production and the impacts that Allied control of the Atlantic had on the rest of the war. 

Not sure when this will end up being published- ideally before Easter, but it depends how many videos there are. One thing I am going to try and avoid is having a series string out for months like the Falklands one did.
