You never know what you might find on a Time Team dig. While our Cornish site is associated with the Iron Age, this particular artefact discovered during the weekend is a more recent object – a modern flat iron, likely dating from the 19th or 20th century.

DIG WATCH UPDATE
Thanks again for joining us on this amazing adventure and helping us bring Time Team back. What a weekend we've had! We're reading all your comments and suggestions, and are feeding this back into our plans for the second dig – please look out for further updates very soon.
Many of you are keen to find out when the final finished episodes will be released. Putting these together is a big undertaking, separate from the behind-the-scenes action shared on Dig Watch, but once we have news on the release schedule, you'll be the first to know.
We are also busy processing all the finds from the weekend, recording the trenches, collating the data alongside the various other activities that follow an excavation. Again, we'll keep you updated on when and where details are published.
In the meantime, we'll continue to share more news from the digs right here on Patreon, as well as exclusive insights into the post-production process.
