LR2 Progress Report
Added 2018-04-03 08:32:01 +0000 UTCJust a quick update to let you all know what I've been working on. Tonight I finished going through all of the individual pieces of clothing in LR2 and checking them for clipping issues. For items that did have clipping problems (tops mainly, nipples and shoulders were the worst offenders) I tweaked their settings until the clipping was resolved. In most cases this was done by adding a very minor displacement value to the clothing item, separating it from the character model by a small amount when it's rendered. Other items required slight modifications to the mesh, translation, or better smoothing.
With that done I'm now ready to run a full rendering test. Over the next two days my computer will be rerendering the LR2 image library using low quality render settings (average render time is 40 seconds, vs. the 4 or 5 minutes for my normal quality ones). After that finishes I will add a few more sex positions into the queue to render to keep my computer busy while I implement the new face rendering system in Ren'py and update all of the clothing objects to work properly with the new greyscale images.

The only research needed at the beginning is on the medical application and on making a serum with that single trait, since this is the most profitable serum possible early on. This takes me four days, with serum production and hiring starting on the first Friday.

Try to hire in the morning, that way you get the most out of the worker for the money spent. When you find that you cant get efficiency back to 100 with just a single stint at HR, that's the time to hire an HR person. This is also when I'd hire a marketing person.

2018-04-05 17:37:18 +0000 UTCI've been thinking about it actually. Some time in the future I might build a separate PC for rendering. Right now the rendering demands aren't bad, but it would speed things up in the future when the image library is larger.

2018-04-05 06:52:24 +0000 UTCIt will, I've been waiting to get the rendering process started before sitting down and trying to figure out what's going on with the android version (I'm having trouble getting Ren'py to build anything for android atm.) Rendering just started, so hopefully I'll have a fix for this and the Linux version issues in a few days.

2018-04-05 06:51:28 +0000 UTCSure: -Spend the first few days on your own researching the medical application and then creating a serum with that trait. This will be your money maker; -After that, set production to that serum and the autosell threshold to zero (there's no real point in keeping this first serum); -Now you want to start producing and gradually hiring. I find hiring in the following order to work well: 1st girl in supply and 1st in production -> 1 girl in marketing -> 2nd girl in supply and 2nd in production -> 1 girl in HR For girls in supply and production you want high values in focus and the relevant skill, and the rest as low as possible (to reduce salary). For marketing and HR you would want high Charisma, but in the current build I don't think this matters that much. -Once you have those 6 girls the company should be pretty stable; -Other than that, until you have the 6 girls you should have the MC rotate between the jobs that need doing, i.e. whichever of supply and production has less workers, as well as selling stock (before hiring the marketing girl) and organizing the business if efficiency gets too low (though selling and organizing should only take at most 2 turns each day).

2018-04-03 19:03:06 +0000 UTCOk so it seems I'm the only one having bad luck with LR2. I just can't seem to keeo the company alive long enough to get anything really fun to happen. Anyone have any tips or tricks for keeping the game going?

2018-04-03 18:12:53 +0000 UTCJust a quick question. Will the development of the android version will continue?
