Personalised Colour and Font

Here are some screenshots looking at the new personalised colour and font for different characters. If a character is created without a particular colour or font assigned to them they will be given a random one of each. Colours have been hand picked by me to make sure text remains easily readable against the blue background of the text box, and all text currently has the standard dark grey outline that is used for the rest of the narration.

The next step is to expand the number of fonts I have stored and search through to find a few more readable colours. I'm also going to experiment with changing the outline colour for colours that might not otherwise be readable and with changing font size to try and make characters even more distinct. If you have any other ideas for improving character recognition please leave me a comment, I'd love to hear them!

The patron reward surveys will be posted tomorrow, and I will be expanding the character option to include a "favourite colour" section that will correspond to their text colour if it is readable.

I've added an option to clear uniform selections, so that should resolve the problem.

That's the plan, I might end up working on that tonight or tomorrow, either way it should be in the v0.6 update.

One thing I would really like to see is fewer girls to keep track of. Right now the best way to grow your business is to grow wide, hiring more girls. Growing tall should be the default, maybe by limiting the number of workers in each section behind upgrades.

0.5.1 Mac - I've never messed with Corporate Uniforms before now. This game I have, and I've run into a problem where I can't disable them. I usually set a variety of outfits for different stages of sluttiness, and just assign employees new outfits as they hit certain milestones. Now I'm having a problem where my Corporate Uniform level is lower then the core sluttiness of some of the employees, but they always still wear the uniforms. I can manually tell them to wear something else, but they'll change back as soon as time advances. Deleting the uniforms doesn't stop them from wearing them, either. Is there a way or could you add a way to disable Corporate Uniforms after you've set them up? Maybe even add a way of opting in or out of uniforms on an employee by employee basis?

Oh that's something to keep in mind. Thanks for reminding me, I'll do my best to make sure it's not a problem.

I know this isn't an answer you'd hope for because it's a lot of work, but the biggest problem I have with character identity is that they all look pretty similar. It's improved, but I think adding 1-3 more standard poses, a couple of hairstyles, and some facial changes (new faces, maybe add glasses on 10% of the girls, etc) would help a lot. Another item is that the names aren't used consistently. I always end up with a lot of Jennifers, and sometimes it's not obvious which one is which in some menus. Places where you use the last name should probably have the full name where it will fit, and any time a character's name is mentioned it'd be great if there was hovertext that said their full name and department. Having the personnel menu always available helps as well.

Just make sure to test them out with one of your Red/Green colourblind friends ^.^
