Stopped by the Old Spanish Fort on Bayou St. John today, location scouting for an upcoming video about Jean Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville and the founding of New Orleans. The fort was originally a wooden blockhouse in Bienville's day, then rebuilt by the Spanish in the late 1700s before being expanded and reinforced by Americans after the Louisiana Purchase. What you see in this picture are probably the remains of the American additions.
I'll save the details of the video for an upcoming update but I've got a fun gimmick in mind – gonna be a memorable one, I think!
In other news, Episode 1 of Frozen 50s Man will be finished tonight, all going well. I'm just waiting on a couple last pieces of music from my composer, then I can begin the full-quality 4k export before I go to bed. Hopefully it will be up for early access for $10 patrons by tomorrow night (but don't quote me on that).
