Day 5🍎

I’m on Day 5 of cutting out sugar (except for a handful of snacks I had to eat for a taste test video the other day😭😅) and I’m so excited about how less bloated I am! You never hear anyone say that sugar could be the cause of bloating but I looked it up and found this interesting article ↪︎ https://www.popsugar.com/fitness/Does-Sugar-Cause-Bloating-42627134

So if you always have a problem with bloating even though you think your diet is pretty healthy, sugar could be the problem! Interesting🤔

I'm not an expert on this, but I think high consumption of carbohydrates in general is the problem. Of course processed sugar is always worse than natural sugars so if you have only one to cut you should definitely cut the processed sugar first, but reducing the amount of natural sugar like honey, fruits, bread and startchy vegetables can also help :) I personally don't do it, but I think a lot of people in this community do keto, which is a very low carb diet (5-10% of your daily intake only). You can check it out if you're interested!

I know right? Helps a great deal for bloating and water retention. I used to always have really bad water retention problems, and would gain like 5 pounds every time I got my period just in water-weight. Since I started cutting out sugar, I feel leaner, less prone to water retention and barely gain a pound or a pound and a half or water during my period. It's been great!

Is it just the case for 'industrial' sugar or also natural sugar like honey and agave necktar? Does anybody know? 🤔
