Character Summaries (2)

(Note: This chapter provides a summary of the characters and their backstories from the previous episodes, along with some additional information that may not be directly mentioned in the main story. The necessary details will be revealed gradually as the story progresses.)

The dawn of the Great Pirate Era is 9 years away.

Affiliation: George Family (now known as the Witch's Crew)

Kanata:

·         Protagonist of the story. 16 years old. User of the Hie Hie no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows her to create and control ice.

·         "Dragon-Slaying Witch" with a bounty of 400 million Berries. Only Alive.

·         Captain and navigator of the ship.

·         A beautiful girl with black hair and red eyes. Nearly died in a battle with Sengoku, but luckily, she sustained no lasting injuries.

·         Possesses two Log Poses for both the first and second halves of the Grand Line, including spares. Also has Eternal Poses for Providence Kingdom, Hachinosu, and Dressrosa.

·         Crafted a pure white spear from the fangs of a Sea King hunted on Little Garden. Recently, she has been primarily fighting using this spear, hardened with Armament Haki.

·         Entered the Grand Line from the West Blue and embarked on a journey to conquer it.

·         Has traveled through Toroa, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, the Island of Nothing, and Alabasta. Currently sailing towards Drum Kingdom.

·         Dealt a significant blow to the Larsh Family in Toroa, befriended Crocus and Laboon at Reverse Mountain, recruited the doctor Sukura in Whiskey Peak, and formed a bond with the giants Dorry and Brogy while undergoing rigorous training and surviving on Little Garden.

·         On the Island of Nothing, she interacted with botanists from the South Blue, and in the Alabasta Kingdom, she ended up saving the life of Prince Cobra.

·         As a result of a year of intensive training on Little Garden, she has mastered Armament Haki to a high degree, enabling her to harden weapons and even create an invisible armor around herself. By channeling the impact through her Haki armor, she can even hold her own against giants without flinching. Her extraordinary growth potential has left Dorry and Brogy in awe and even fear.

·         Has also learned to use Observation Haki and can even see a few seconds into the future. However, she is more adept at Armament Haki, so her progress with Observation Haki is relatively slower.

·         This is due to her personal qualities. Her strong mentality makes it easier for her to focus on self-improvement rather than "sensing" others' emotions or empathizing with them.

·         Her Conqueror's Haki has also become stronger as her other two Haki types have improved.

·         Now she can even hold her own against a Navy Admiral (although defensively).

·         In Alabasta, she was overwhelmed by the heat and rarely complained, stating, "I'm never coming back."

·         Little Garden was also a tropical rainforest and quite hot, but the heat in Alabasta was apparently on a different level.

·         Gradually increasing her crew and expanding her influence, she hopes to establish a base somewhere and secure enough power to repel the government and the Marines, rather than continuing with the pirate life, which she believes will eventually lead to a dead end.

·         She values order above all else, so the rules on her ship are quite strict. However, they are just basic rules, so as long as one doesn't intentionally break them, there shouldn't be any issues.

·         Due to the existence of the Celestial Dragons, she has doubts about the order of the World Government.

·         Unbeknownst to her, two great pirates in the New World seem to know about Kanata's mother.

·         Also, when news of her survival and escape from an Admiral spread, the director of the orphanage where she used to live muttered, "It seems attracting trouble runs in the family..."

·         Her real name is ××××, and she has a family name, although she is unaware of it. She knows nothing about her parents, but their legacy will surely follow her.

·         She bears a striking resemblance to her mother, as evident from her wanted poster. However, her father's features cannot be discerned from the poster.

Junshi:

·         A muscular man with red hair. 29 years old.

·         Combatant.

·         Feels slightly dissatisfied that Kanata is always the one fighting strong opponents. However, when he tried to spar with a giant on Little Garden, he declared, "That's something only an idiot would do."

·         He was sent flying to the edge of the island in one blow and ended up with a numb arm, requiring half a day of rest, although he didn't break any bones.

·         His Armament and Observation Haki have improved considerably over the year. Witnessing Kanata's abnormal growth rate, he decided to train by fighting to the death with Zen.

·         Zen readily agreed, and they fought until both were on the verge of death.

·         As a result, his Haki control has improved significantly. According to Kanata, who actually fought Zephyr, "If he avoids direct confrontation and focuses on strategy, he can hold his own."

·         He didn't have many opportunities to fight in Alabasta and instead worked hard doing manual labor.

·         Although he doesn't have a bounty, Zephyr considers him one of the threats to be wary of when capturing the Witch's Crew.

Kuro:

·         A young man with black hair, black eyes, and tanned skin covered in tattoos. 23 years old.

·         User of the Yami Yami no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to create and control darkness.

·         (Sort of) (self-proclaimed) combatant.

·         Despite training, he hasn't become much stronger. However, his stamina has improved, and he has diligently trained his Devil Fruit abilities, so he has become somewhat more useful.

·         His fighting ability is slightly above that of an average person.

·         He has a high pain tolerance, whether due to his Devil Fruit ability or his personal qualities.

·         He is still as curious as ever and always smiling.

·         He tends to wander off to explore various things whenever they visit an island, so Kanata has recently ordered someone to always keep an eye on him.

·         He rarely causes trouble, but he does get lost. He's not bad with directions, but he often loses his way due to his curiosity.

·         In Alabasta, he covered his skin with various layers of clothing to avoid exposing his tattoos, but he still received strange looks due to the tattoos on his face. He didn't seem to mind.

·         On Little Garden, he often peeked at Kanata while she was bathing. Kanata didn't seem to mind and let him do as he pleased.

George:

·         A man with black hair and black eyes, about two meters tall. 31 years old.

·         The ship's treasurer.

·         He used to worry about expenses due to the many big eaters in the crew, but with the addition of a ship's doctor, the increased spending on medicines and medical supplies, although necessary, has given him a bit of a headache.

·         Thanks to the well-paying manual labor job in Alabasta and the additional work Kanata arbitrarily took on, their finances have improved considerably, much to his delight.

·         At the same time, he's worried sick because Kanata's survival has been revealed to the Marines, and they are now being pursued by Admiral Zephyr and Vice Admiral Sengoku.

·         In that sense, he thinks their life on Little Garden wasn't so bad.

·         Although they were living a self-sufficient lifestyle, they weren't being chased, and the dangers were still relatively low (compared to sailing). However, he was forced to quit smoking due to the lack of cigarettes.

·         Like Kanata, he believes that "continuing as pirates will eventually lead to a dead end" and is deeply concerned about their current unproductive situation.

·         He knows they have to make a choice – either join forces with a powerful pirate or continue plundering while being hunted by various forces as wanted criminals.

·         He believes there's no other option and that they have to make a decision before it's too late.

·         He also values discipline, like Kanata. He used to be a street thug, but even in the underworld, there were ironclad rules, and outlaws were swiftly eliminated.

·         He pointed out that leaving the ownership of Devil Fruits undecided could lead to internal conflicts and helped Kanata establish the ship's rules.

Scotch:

·         A slightly overweight man with blonde hair and blue eyes. Wears sunglasses. 31 years old.

·         Navigator.

·         He lost some weight after a year of rigorous training but regained it after indulging in food and alcohol in Alabasta. However, since his stamina has improved, no one says anything.

·         He's a womanizer and had a rough time on Little Garden. In Alabasta, he let loose a bit. He understands that if he doesn't follow the rules, he'll be killed (Kanata wouldn't listen to any excuses), so he enjoys his womanizing in moderation.

·         He's mentally exhausted from being pursued by a Navy Admiral but remains optimistic after seeing Kanata fight on equal footing with him through his binoculars, thinking, "We'll be fine."

·         He's looking for new love, but the only women around him are Kanata, a battle-hardened warrior, and Feiyun, a giant. This fact occasionally makes him collapse to his knees in despair.

·         Additionally, he has been looking after Kanata since she was 10 years old (she's also his superior), so he's not sure if he should even consider her a woman.

·         He peeked at Kanata while she was bathing with Kuro on Little Garden but felt like she was more like a daughter to him, so he never did it again.

Feiyun:

·         A giant. A woman with long, light purple hair and amethyst-like purple eyes. 39 years old.

·         User of the Deka Deka no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows her to increase her size. Maximum height: 173 meters.

·         "Giant Shadow" with a bounty of 80 million Berries.

·         Combatant.

·         Her height has increased slightly over the year.

·         On Little Garden, she met the leaders of the Giant Warrior Pirates, a group admired by giants from Elbaf, and her eyes sparkled with excitement.

·         Although embarrassed by the young girl who seemed like their daughter, the two giants taught her the mindset of a warrior and combat techniques. Along with Junshi and Zen, she is one of the individuals that Zephyr is wary of.

·         Due to her rigorous training, she excels in close combat.

·         She has also learned to use Armament Haki. Zephyr estimates that her strength, including her Devil Fruit ability, is worth at least a 200 million Berry bounty. However, the government intentionally lowered her bounty to avoid drawing attention to the Witch's Crew.

·         Possesses immense strength, capable of lifting warships despite their size.

·         She was overjoyed to meet the Giant Warrior Pirates she admired and would smile brightly whenever Kanata praised her. Zen was moved to tears, seeing how much Feiyun, who used to be so quiet, had started to express her emotions.

·         Can use both Armament and Observation Haki.

·         Due to her innate nature, she is better at Observation Haki than Armament Haki. She is particularly skilled at reading people's emotions.

Zen:

·         A Mink with black fur, resembling a horse. 38 years old.

·         Combatant.

·         A hero known for his exceptional martial prowess on Kanata's ship.

·         His technique surpasses Kanata's, but in a full-power battle with both using their abilities, it would be a close match, with Kanata having a slight advantage.

·         On Little Garden, he demonstrated his survival skills and willingly shared his knowledge with others.

·         He is also skilled in using Haki, wielding both Armament and Observation Haki at a high level.

·         When he fought to the death with Junshi, he didn't use Electro, but he fought with all his might and ended up in a draw. He claims that if they had continued any longer, he would have killed Junshi.

·         With Electro, he can fight Zephyr head-on.

·         He had a hard time in Alabasta due to his fur, but since he didn't like to complain, he occasionally almost succumbed to heatstroke.

·         Although he doesn't have a bounty, Zephyr considers him one of the threats to be wary of when capturing the Witch's Crew.

Samuel:

·         A muscular giant of a man, about three meters tall, with a shaved head. 28 years old.

·         User of the Neko Neko no Mi, Model: Jaguar, a Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows him to transform into a jaguar.

·         Combatant.

·         He has been with George and the others since their days as thugs on Marx Island. He is the second biggest headache for George and Kanata (the first being Kuro, who often gets lost).

·         He is simple-minded and often acts without thinking, which frequently leads to him being subjected to Kanata's Iron Claw or George's scolding.

·         He has always been quick to fight and often got into brawls under George's leadership. However, after being effortlessly defeated by Kanata, he readily submitted to her.

·         During their time as merchants, he primarily used his strength for carrying cargo. Despite being simple-minded, he was repeatedly told to "carry things carefully so as not to break them," so he can think things through when it comes to handling cargo.

·         On Little Garden, he often tried to eat strange things and was stopped by Kanata. When Kanata wasn't around, he would eat them anyway and end up with food poisoning or strange toxins, requiring Sukura's care.

·         He can only use Armament Haki, and even then, only at a basic level. His future progress depends on his training.

·         Before joining George and the others, he grew up in an ordinary household. However, his father was also a hothead who rarely held down a job, and Samuel was on the same path until George took him in and he became a thug.

·         After joining Kanata and becoming part of a large merchant ship, he started earning a decent income. His father and his mother, who had left the family, came to ask for money. Samuel gave them a large sum as severance pay and cut off all ties with them.

·         He didn't show much emotion even when Marx Island was reduced to ashes.

·         For him, his family was only the members of the George Family.

Sukura:

·         A handsome man with messy white hair, about two meters tall, and sharp, unfriendly eyes. 25 years old.

·         Ship's doctor.

·         The only son of a doctor who ran a hospital on the outskirts of Whiskey Peak.

·         He inherited his father's medical skills and mainly handled tasks such as preparing medicines and managing medical records at the hospital. When they were short-staffed, he also performed medical procedures, so while he wasn't inexperienced, he didn't have a wealth of experience either, given his young age.

·         He joined Kanata's crew on the condition that they would visit Drum Kingdom, a country renowned for its medical expertise, at least once so he could further his knowledge.

·         His knowledge proved immediately useful on Little Garden, and Samuel was his primary patient.

·         He believes Devil Fruit users are essentially patients and aims to eventually extract Devil Fruits from living humans.

·         To achieve this goal, he researches drugs that only work on Devil Fruit users, and Samuel occasionally serves as his test subject.

·         On Little Garden, he had Samuel drink a prototype drug, which caused him to lose control and go berserk. Sukura observed the effects and analyzed the ingredients to determine what went wrong. (Kanata stopped the rampaging Samuel by throwing him into the sea.)

·         He has decent stamina from his time working at the hospital. However, he tends to overwork himself, so he has started to wish for an assistant who can help with tasks such as organizing medical records and medicines.

·         His mother was a Devil Fruit user. During a storm, their ship sank. Sukura and his father survived, but his mother, who couldn't swim, drowned.

·         This experience led him to want to find a way to deal with Devil Fruits. His father watched him with a complex expression.

·         He is the type of person who will do whatever it takes to achieve his goals. He would use pirates or Marines if it served his purpose, but he still has a basic sense of ethics.

·         He also believes that it is a doctor's duty to save anyone who is dying in front of him, regardless of who they are.

Affiliation: Larsh Family

Drevan:

·         A tall, slightly overweight man with short black hair and a shaved head. Deceased (age 35).

·         Leader of the Larsh Family, one of the Five Families of the West.

·         Based in the port town of Toroa. He targeted Kanata but lost most of his fleet. With his forces severely weakened, he was overthrown in a coup, and the Larsh Family was effectively destroyed.

·         He would probably still be alive if he hadn't taken action against Kanata. He could have even expanded his influence by using the trade routes that the George Family had abandoned. However, he died without being able to do so.

Affiliation: Marines

Berg:

·         A well-built man with silver hair, blue eyes, and glasses. 22 years old.

·         Headquarters Captain of the Marines. Disciple and subordinate of Garp.

·         Details unknown.

·         In his third year of military service. He had been stationed in Alabasta for a year but was ordered by Garp to join Zephyr's unit to pursue Kanata.

·         Uses a sword as his weapon. Kanata commented, "A Captain with that kind of Haki?"

·         Apparently has a beautiful girlfriend back home.

Zephyr:

·         A large man with purple eyes and hair. 41 years old.

·         Admiral of the Marines. Known as "Black Arm" Zephyr.

·         Received a report of Kanata's presence in the Alabasta Kingdom and was immediately ordered by the World Government to depart from Marineford.

·         He engaged in a battle with Kanata just before she escaped but was forced to let her get away due to her Devil Fruit ability and personal combat prowess.

·         He considers Kanata a "genius" and regrets that such talent is wasted. He sympathizes with her to some extent due to the Celestial Dragon incident but believes that work is work and draws a clear line.

·         A master of Armament Haki, as his epithet suggests. He is also an exceptional user of Observation Haki and possesses the strength befitting his title as Admiral.

·         He borrowed Berg from Garp and contacted Fleet Admiral Kong to request additional forces to pursue Kanata.

Affiliation: None

Donquixote Homing:

·         A Celestial Dragon.

·         Requested the World Government to capture Kanata alive, as he wants to talk to the one who killed his brother.

·         Generally seems to be rather short-sighted.

Affiliation: Alabasta Kingdom

Nefertari Cobra:

·         Prince of the Alabasta Kingdom. 17 years old.

·         The embodiment of action. He travels to oversee levee construction projects and leads the kingdom's army to fight monsters.

·         Often scolded by his childhood friend and bodyguard, Igaram, and his wife, Titi.

·         When he first met Kanata and her crew, he was wary of them, suspecting they might have come to assassinate him. However, they proved to be harmless and even saved his life.

·         He feels indebted to them for their various contributions.

·         He hopes to properly welcome them if they ever visit the country again.

·         Meanwhile, Kanata insists that she'll never return due to the country's unbearable heat.

Affiliation: Former Rocks Pirates

Octavia:

·         Details unknown. Believed to be Kanata's mother.

·         Usually wore a mask, so few people knew her true face. Kanata apparently bears such a striking resemblance to her that Whitebeard and Shiki mistook her for Octavia when they saw her wanted poster.

·         All that is known about her is that she was "arrogant," "countless people were killed or nearly killed for trying to hit on her," and "she was a powerful individual even among the monsters that gathered in the Rocks Pirates."

·         Whitebeard and Shiki witnessed her sinking into the sea, so they believe she is dead, but...
