Dan I'm sorry but I could not disagree with you more about Pacific Rim. It is such a gorgeous and masterfully written and designed love letter to kaiju movies and that is what it does best at its heart. The fights are slow, but not in a bad way. In a way that makes you see and understand just how big and weighty these creatures and machines are. It is an absolutely perfect movie to me and I'm honestly a little shocked you don't feel the same! But it is interesting to hear why you don't like it.

I adore Still Game! I know plenty of non-Scots that enjoy it, but I think there's a lot of uniquely Glaswegian humour that can be a bit lost when watched by people that didn't really grow up in the poorer areas here. It's got to be one of my favourite shows out there!

loki is the only marvel show that i didnt feel like it mucked up the ending. Wanda visions ending had glimps of following through with its ideas with the vision v vision fight but it kinda just devolved into standard 3rd act marvel cgi fight but i just felt like the mystery and threat of the first couple episodes dont bring themselves to the final episodes. Falcon and Winter soldier felt like it was really interesting and brought up really good questions about american foreign policy and imperialist war machines and the part where john walker has blood on the shield is fucking incredible and then by the end hes buddying with the main characters and the cause fighting for humanitarian rights are just forced to kill innocent people to make sure the show doesnt explicitly say that fighting for change is good and you just have to do a really good speech to the people in power and they will definatly change things for the people and not keep the same regime thats keeping them in power. And Loki doesnt deal with complex political issues that the pentagon checks for and censors in marvels scripts it just goes into really interesting philosophy about the nature of free will and what it means to have it and all that really good writing jazz and the ending ACTUALLY FOLLOWS those questions to their logical conclusion with loki and sylvie being given a choice of free will that will spell doom for everyone maybe and becoming the timekeeper and having all the power which was always lokis goal before the events of the show changed him. i just think that while i still enjoyed Falcon and winter soldier for their relationship and character building and wanda visions incredible loveletter to sitcoms and intense mystery they both dont hold to the end like loki did... also sorry for the massive post ive seen each show like 3 times cause ive had too much time and have thought about them a lot.

if youre rewatching the mcu you should give agents of shield another go, stick with it for the first season (as its a bit standard) but then trust me it becomes like one of my fav tv shows by season 3 and 4.
