the washington football team haven't changed their name, people just call them that cos its a slur

I guess that's why everyone thought that the entire universe was destroyed? And the fact that the Flux just like, fucked off instead of Tekteun being like "hmm, maybe I should do something about this" was weird.

Adam Gaffney

ALSO. SORRY, You actually saying that the earth was meant to be the FINAL planet to be destroyed by flux BY DESIGN... SO WHY WAS IT THERE AT THE END OF THE FIRST FUCKING EPISODE!?!

Ethan Woodhouse

I wanna say, this whole time you kept saying only Earth was left and I was thinking "no, they stopped it before it did all of that". My partner also said when we were discussing the episode that only Earth was left, and I was thinking no, because the shield wasn't at Earth anymore, the Sontarans left with it at light speed so they were clearly quite far away. The fact that we're all this confused about it says a lot, and I don't even want to rewatch it to see who is right. But I'm pretty sure the idea was that the Earth was the centre-point i.e. the final part (yet the Flux had already gone past the Earth thanks to the shield). I don't know it feels like a bunch of stuff was cut, even though I fear that was just the way the script was written.

Adam Gaffney

Back when the Rise of Skywalker premiered, I saw someone say "J.J. Abrams secretly hates Star Wars and wants to destroy it." Quite frankly, after this episode, I'm kind of convinced Chris Chibnall may hate Doctor Who and secretly want to kill the show.

Dolthra

I honestly thought it was just Prentice

Mark Fletch

This run has felt like he's holding the show hostage and we're praying the release is negotiated before any irreversible damage is done.

MxChatter

So you know how the joke throughout Chibnall's run has been the idea that the next head writer should somehow come up with a canonical reason for why none of it actually happened? I'm now not actually sure that I can think of another conceivable way for the show to recover from all of the damage.

Well Read Nomad

I want to make an argument to a point. He says it's a good thing it's not like the comic because then it's not boring for those who read comic but then anime exist and it sticks to it's source most of the time and readers still enjoy it fine

KingsNJenssons

Wait...The Grand Serpent's name was Prentis... p r e n t i s...s e r p i n t-I genuinely think Chibnall wanted that character's name to be an amagram of serpent but realized it didn't work, but then just fucking kept the name anyway.

MxChatter

so the new year's episode has daleks right? ....didn't the daleks get wiped out by the flux? Also I keep thinking about this episode... did the flux take out the sun? It seemed to literally just be earth left so that's not gonna be great for earth

Zoe Bateman

~46 mins in: "the latin word for arsehole is chibnall" finally, chibnall resolves a plot point/is part of a funny joke

Zoe Bateman

Almost tempted to listen to this before watching as I'm not sure when I'll get to see the episode, but I think I'll hold off. Like to try form my own opinion on it first since I usually disagree a little. Although I will say last weeks podcast basically just echoed everything I was thinking after the last episode, most notably "WHERE ARE WE WHAT IS HAPPENING"

Adam Gaffney

Orange

Matthew Oliver

Literally not watched one episode just this podcast glad I spent my time in better ways
