Greetings from the pre-production phase of the Space Cadet animated feature film! I’ve been in the workshop all week with Lillian (Head of Story) and Corinne (Art Director). We’ve been going through the script together each day and Lillian has been drawing storyboards for each scene/shot. Corinne has been drafting up floor plans for the various rooms, buildings and spaceships that will appear in the film. Meanwhile, I’ve been designing robots and and doing some concept paintings for various planetary surfaces of some of the places the character will visit during the film. I’m mainly testing out some shapes and colour ideas right now but this is how it’s going so far…
