Hey Everyone!

This is a piece of "latch hook art" that my mom made in the 1970s. Apparently just after I was born. So she would work on this while baby Eric was taking naps.

Every thread was a precut 2 - 4 inch pieces of yarn in different colors. She would hook each thread into a gridded base that looks like a tiny badminton net.

It's like analog yarn pixel art!

This piece hangs proudly in my recording studio. This koala kind of acts like a bit of musical spiritual advisor. Plus it doubles as a great sound diffuser for high frequency reflections from the monitor speakers.

I swear this thing looks like it's smiling...

The time it must have taken to make this piece. I mean Geez.

It is, dare I say, almost akin (pun intended) to making an album out of tiny little pieces of sound.

My love for the tedious, fine motor coordination crafts had to come from somewhere.
