Sorry for the handheld camera vibes here! Just wanted to quickly show you how the animated film is going which is what we've been working on in the studio. Most of my days (when not on tour) this and next year will be focused on finishing the Space Cadet film project!
Currently all the design assets and are done. Character designs, sets, props and rigs for animatable characters are done! Hooray!
Right now we are working mainly on layout and animation. There are a team of wonderful layout artists, designers and animators working on individual shots and sending them to me to see every week. My job is to check to if the the animation shots are linking up correctly and if they're syncing with the music and the scenes are feeling right in terms of tone and tempo etc.

It's literally like piecing a giant audio visual puzzle together, with several new animation clips (2-10 second shots) coming almost every day! The complete film will have over 900 shots!
It's been going great! I'm really happy with how it's coming together and learning a lot in the process! It's been a wonderful time working with this amazing team. Our goal is to finish all the production and have it all wrapped by the end of 2024.

Oh! in other news! We just announced the New York shows for The Storyville Mosquito. We'll be performing at the Lincoln Center on March 15 & 16! I'll let you know when tickets go on sale, but mark your calendars if you're in the area in March!
