Twas the night before the tour and all through the house...
Added 2025-07-16 05:02:07 +0000 UTCI'm usually staying up into the after hours sorting out vinyl and playing with stickers. In the clip above I demonstrate how I use the cue stickers for my turntable sets. I do this so that I don't have to use headphones to cue. Especially in a live situation, I may have to cue things rather quickly, (like change records or sounds between a bridge and chorus) so it's easier to do it by sight with the stickers and then count rotations on the label to find the different segments of sounds I want to scratch. This is now considered a very "old school" way of doing things. But I'm still playing vinyl in my sets so it's still the best way for me to set up my records for shows. Anyhow this has become a kind of meditative ritual before any new tour. Some of these things may work, or not, I'll figure that out on stage! But I like to have a few new options to throw in mix whenever I start a tour.
We head out to the west coast tomorrow to start the Deltron 3030 25th Anniversary tour of the first album! Hope to see some of you out there!
Thank you for your support!
