January 2021 Production Update

Last month, I speculated that the reason I finished so few clips in November despite working almost double time was that the clips I worked on just happened to be especially time-consuming compared to my usual output. I was probably right about that because between going on vacation and going back to working regular hours, I only spent about 1/3 as much time on Part 12 in December as I did in November, but I still managed to get 4 more clips done in December than in November.

So for January, I’m going to keep working on part 12. Since I’m aiming for a June release now, I’m probably going to extend the number of clips I intend to finish before I start working on the final edit to 120 instead of 60. That way, I can work on Part 13 at the same time and release them both in June. I prefer to work on these videos two at a time because it gives me more freedom to work with the structure of the final edits. I think they turn out better that way.

For my regular subscribers, this won’t really change anything. They’ll still get 2 videos in June either way. But for you guys on Patreon, it means you won’t get to see part 12 until part 13 is also finished, which means you probably won’t get to see either for several more months.
