iOS 14 - A botched release
Like many others, iOS 14's release blindsided Paperback's stability for quite some time, and it seems that a majority of the bugs that caused crashes in Paperback have finally been fixed and adjusted.
No longer ugly!
Once again the UI for Paperback has undergone a whole redesign. Everyone coming from the public build will now be greeted by a much nicer looking grey colour scheme for dark mode and a soothing white and off-white colour scheme for light mode.
While this UI is mostly final, we'll continue to improve on it with more QoL features and performance improvements.
Smooth like butter
Both the readers have been built from scratch. This release features a 'smooth as butter' reading experience, gone are the days of stutters.
Continuous reading is planned for both Horizontal and Vertical readers
Hide your history!
No longer do you have to look at the 3AM binge you did last night. Simply drag your disappointments away with the new delete history feature.
Another addition to the history tab is the ability to open the manga page by tapping the little "i" icon at the right of the row.
Discover improvements
A lot of technical changes have been made in the backside of the app (and more to be tested in upcoming betas) for Paperback sources to be much more robust.
The source improvements allow things like "View All" to return to Paperback, support CloudFlare restricted websites, and a source health checker available in your settings.

2022-05-02 04:40:25 +0000 UTCDue to heavy influx of low-effort/troll/scam posts in the discord server you have to go through a simple check before you can chat in the discord server. Simply read the #rules channel along with the #welcome channel and you should be able to figure out how to get access to all the channels. As for the subreddit, it got plagued by the same issue. Instead of reading the general troubleshooting guidelines on the website and the discord server people started making opening support posts, however, the subreddit will open again soon enough.
