The Nextlander Podcast 182: Dumped in a Food Court

We're barely a week into 2025 and we basically already know what the Switch 2 looks like thanks to CES, plus new GeForce cards, PlayStation movies, and Steam Deck-likes. Also, games we caught up on during the break like Caves of Qud, LOK Digital, Indiana Jones, and Clone Hero, the best restaurants to drown your sorrows in, and the ever-increasing absurdity of the Terminator franchise.

By the way, the 5090 IS NOT a workstation card. It is not MARKETED in ANYWAY as that. It IS a gamer forward, gamer marketed card.

Until Dawn is being directed by David F Sandberg (Lights Out, Annabelle: Creation, Shazam 1 and 2), not David Sandberg (Kung Fury, Blood Machines)

You can travel between places in Indy to do side stuff and collecting things, but the game is buggy so some of the completionist stuff is impossible right now. But yes, Vinny, move on to the next areas because you earn tools for getting into places in later areas.

Harith

The AI graphics possible future that Alex mentioned sounds like a nightmare.

Robert Forster

Vinny, in Indy You can go back to any previous area of the game from your menu under the travel section at any time with no penalty.

Robert Forster

You know I love y’all, but your take on Terminator: Dark Fate is patently incorrect. That movie slaps and it is the best non-Cameron directed terminator film. Vinny, I encourage you to watch it. From Mackenzie Davis kicking 72 different types of ass, to the lowkey allegory of immigration being vilified, it’s in another stratosphere compared to those other ones. Watchcast, maybe?

Curtis Harding

You can go back to previous areas in Indiana Jones. If you go to the journal menu and look at your objectives, from the menu where you select location you can just go back at any point and it loads the last place you were standing in. Definitely book it from an area if you get a little tired of it, might even be easier if you go back later. Those fist fights were a lot easier with upgrades from later on

TermDaninator 3: Ryck of the Machines is a blight worthy name, at least. Alex and Dan interacting is gold, that first episode was so much fun.
