The battlehorn elk looked so terrified and yet Puka's prayer to the Golden Lioness seemed to reassure it, knowing that there was death coming but there was a paradise waiting for him on the other side of the knife. His spirit would be gone, but his body will be left behind to feed a hungry tribe.
