She's a dutilful guardian of life and a masochist. She answers the call to be a champion simply because it will make her more appreciated in the hierarchy of the church, but she's never had to face her sexuality head-on in front of everyone. When she enters the Tournament of Pleasure, will she exit the same person?
Salome is a special "guest" character, the star of an old series of mine available on my old Deviantart. Her inner struggle matches my own, in ways. When I was writing her stories, I was hiding my lewd side to the world. Now, I am proud of who I am, and I am not ashamed to tell people who I was.
