I have read enough /tg/ to know where this is going. He isn't a were bear or anything like that. He is an actual bear with a stupid high bluff.

Jeremy Humphrey

Ahhhh. Thank you!

Dakota Krout

So Mr. Bearington is a werebear and that's how these folks survived out there? I bet that's it. Found one missing word: "There will [be] no coups, no overthrowing of the local government."

Kai Kuchenbecker

Oh, ick. I hadn’t seen that. I will change it as soon as I can :-)

Really enjoying the book so far, and I can't wait to read the final edition. Since I see other people pointing out first draft issues I'll just mention that this section could probably stand to be re-phrased to have a bit less repetition of "the room." "In an attempt not to be infested, the group stepped out of the room and had Alexis fire an arrow into the room. A cloud of poison filled the room, lingering quite a bit longer than it would have done outside. After the dangerous miasma dissipated, they stepped back into the room"

Michael Junker

Me too! It means I am able to stay ahead :)

Loving the faster uploads ^_^

I'm kind of expecting a long chain of quests, to get to the mine they have to cross a river, to cross the river they have to make the ferry person happy. To make them happy they have to collect some rare herb. And so on.

Bsoxmk2

If they were smart I would say they collect a bunch of the quests to see if they can double up, but since I doubt they've done a lot of MMO quests they'll do it one at a time...

Personally, I am just waiting for the first pay-to-win player to bring in their life saving to outfit their avatar with mithril everything, a dozen legendary weapons, and a small alchemy shop in a bottomless bag and crashing the entire in game economy.

I swear I feel like you are reading ahead

Crafters can level faster for a while. Then you start needing more specialized goods. You either have to go get them, or buy them from the npcs/pcs. That will trn you into an adventurer (who is probably behind everyone else with crappy combat skills) or cost you a lot of the cash that you made selling your low level items to adventurers. Also, all the other Crafters are doing the same thing so the market gets a glut pretty quickly. Game economy is nuts.

Amber Dehn

You know it makes a ridiculous amount of sense why Crafters could level faster than everyone else. And Joe probably doesn't know it since he never reads the wiki
