According to people involved the whole "Flat Earth" angle was just PR to get funding and publicity for his "Daredevil Stunts" - at least that's what has been reported by some outlets. He was still a moron, but maybe just a grifter rather than a nutter? Edit: The SGU picked up on the "Flat Earth was just for PR" stuff.
