Good morning!
As of this writing, the topic of Detox has been on my mind. That is a perpetual and ongoing occurrence it seems! I’ve been having conversations with people that have brought about deeper thinking for me. How amazing it is that God made us with minds and bodies that can be renewed, rewired and detoxed!
When you think of the ability for healing to come through the way we think and what we put into our bodies, it is so encouraging and hopeful! I had a conversation with a young person a few days ago who talked about her choices up to this point and how they were not leading her to peace or happiness. I told her that all the things she goes through, even if they are self-induced, can be used to build strength and lead her on better paths.
None of us has to use our past as an indication of where we are going. Being self-aware and making different choices happens moment by moment! We can make better choices starting this very moment in time! And through those different choices, we can slowly but surely be detoxed from all the toxic stuff of the world and renewed in our minds and bodies.
Thank God He gave us this self-healing nature and the awareness of how to detox and rejuvenate!
Putting healthy foods and drinks into our bodies is honoring the body He made.
Putting healthy thoughts into our minds is honoring the mind He made.
Putting up boundaries around the things that slowly lead to death will provide the foundation for our amazing bodies and minds to heal!
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2 NLT
Reflection: Where do I need a detox in my life? What is one thing I can do starting right now that will help me heal?
