The March Project is on its way: 🌘 Eclipse Viewer + Experiments with Light

Coming your way:

A paper viewer for the April 8th solar eclipse. And a booklet explaining how you can use it (with other paper thingamabobs embedded into the cover.)

The overarching theme is that you can use paper as an interface on light itself—to better understand how it works.

While these experiments can be conducted during non-ecliptic times as well, they are most dramatic during the eclipse. Because at least 25% of my shipments are delayed each month (making a time-sensitive mailing fraught), I have a DIY version that you can download and build as well.

Here is a template for building the viewer. (You'll need black paper or cardstock, translucent vellum, and a thick needle 1-1.5mm in diameter):

International subscribers: Because the timing of international mail is unpredictable, I only sent the eclipse viewer to those of you where the timing estimate seemed promising.
