May going ons

So because of how I work things a month ahead as far as kit releases, this might be a bit confusing but I think it's pretty straight forward~

So I'm going to be getting a few oral based surgeries in the coming month(May) that I just got the final scheduling for back on Monday. While the original plan was to have them all done at the end of April so I'd be able to get work done on the latter half of May, that didn't work out for me, and they'll instead be taking place spread throughout May which is honestly kinda the worst way things could be, but that's how it goes sometimes xD

That said I'm gonna be spending most of May recovering from said surgeries, and I don't personally intend to be getting much work of any kind done. So unlike the past 2 times I was hospitalized (not planned xD ), I'm in a significantly better spot financially to be able to, for the month of June, pause the Patreon. Why June? Because I'll be recovering through May and don't plan to be modeling much of anything/focusing on recovery, so there won't be anything to release for June~
This way I don't have to worry about getting a kit done and I can just recover from things, and get back to it the following month (July).

So this is the way things will look:
May Release: Skimmers~
June: Patreon Paused no release.
July: Back to standard fair, I have a few things I really want to model/update (ArcherFish Shoulders/Riley/Eclipse kit) But I gotta plan a few things out a bit~

I think that should cover things in a way that is at least, clear to me, but I know it can be a bit confusing xD
(If anything needs clarification just drop a comment and I'll do my best~)

That all said I wanted to post up a quick render set as well of the rough blocking for the main skimmer. It still needs some refinement before I get into detailing and the like, but I finally have a use for that Monowheel style asset I made back with the Narwhal~ I never thought it have an actual pilot but here we are xD

Thanks for the feedback. In fact, apart from the largest kits, switching over to an "incognito" window sorted it out. Appreciated!

Some of the large kits you have to download parts separately instead of all at once or it will freeze. I had the same issue as well.

Dat Ngo

Hey all :) I'd thought that my download issues with CG&T had ceased, but I'm still having regular problems. A lot of the files (anything above 10MB really), seems to get to around 70-80% and then just slow down to nothing...just wondering if it's a known issue with any of you, and if anyone has any tips to solve. Thanks! Kind regards, Nick

Nick Holt

For sure. Love these straightforward posts and take it easy! Thanks.

Don't even worry about it. Enjoy (as much as you can) the month

I hope you a quick and hopefully comfortable recovery. With all you have designed for us I’d be fine if you did not pause the Patreon, most of us are consistently here to support the creators. That means supporting even when life hits them hard. Thanks for the incredible designs.

Malthus Malfoy

I hope you have a smooth and quick recovery :)

Awesome!

Best of luck! A month off will give me time to get some of the older models printed without having to keep pushing them off because of the new cool stuff you keep putting out...

Dozer Taylor

Good luck. But as someone who has had this work done I think your putting to much into how down you will be. This is the perfect procedure to have and get tons of this kind of work done. Your recovery won’t be more then a few hours each time. After that business as usual

Michael Randler

Take all the time it takes to recover. We're here to support you!

Be safe, rest up. That mono wheel looks dope.

Bex Ciantelli

Yeah there will be a few versions of the monowheel/no wheel~ ~Pipes

They'll be eventually updated, but I don't have any dates set for them. Definitely go ahead and print them if you're waiting on that~ ~Pipes

Will the Anglergeist / Sturgeon be getting updates to the shoulders as well or can we go ahead and print those? Good luck on surgeries!

Bradley Westover

Hope your surgeries go well. Take the time you need to recover and recenter yourself. We'll still be here when you're healed up. Modelwise, the skimmer looks like it's coming along well. One question, will there be a version with a sealed crew compartment for those of us who don't like the driver being exposed?

Kyle Bentley

I hope your surgeries go well. I'll say a prayer for you.

Just focus on getting better. I’m supporting around 10 creators on and off of Patreon, and to be honest, I haven’t printed anything since August; kinda hard when you’re living out of your car. Why waste my money like this when it’s really not doing me any good? It’s not like saving it over a reasonable period of time is going to do anything to change my situation, and at least someone whose work I value can use my money to put a roof over their head if I can’t. When my situation finally does change, I’ll be set. EDIT: No idea why I decided to use your post about medical issues to talk about my own problems; must be those pesky narcissistic tendencies. Seriously and genuinely: take as much time as you need. I wish you a speedy recovery, but allow no one to rush you.
