Update names and Sandbox dates

First change - I'm going to stop refering to my updates as Chapters and instead just call them Updates. This is pretty simple. Instead of saying Chapter 5 is coming out on November 13th, I'm just going to say Update 5 is coming out on November 13th. This is just because calling them chapters has confused some people into thinking that the game was actually split up into chapters, when it's really not. In the end, all of it will blend together into a single experience and hopefully you wont be able to tell what came out in which update. So that's the first thing.
Second is a little different and is something that I would love your opinion on:
Should I get rid of the calendar system in the game?
This is something that I've been considering for a while. When I first started making the game, I wanted it to be something similar to Persona, where you had to decide how you were going to spend your days and in the end you wouldn't have time to do everything. I am considering now changing this to where the game only moves forward when you want it to. So you will have time to do all the dates, to get all the money, to buff up in the gym, and to have sex with all the ladies.
There's a few pros and cons to making this switch.
Cons:
- Your choices won't matter as much. Since you have time to do everything, it's all just a matter of in which order you want to do them. This makes the game feel less like a game to me. Honestly, this is the only con that I can think of, but it's a big one.
Pros:
- You can see everything on a single playthrough.
- It would be much easier on me in many ways, since I don't have to worry about timing. This frees me up to add scenes pretty much wherever I want and allow you to move the story forward at your own pace.
- It's a lot less confusing and more casual-friendly.
Please tell me what you think. I really haven't decided exactly what I want to do here. I'm a little torn.
