This last week has been pretty okay, for the most part. A little ups and downs, but nothing major.
Getting the downs out of the way first. I think I mentioned last week that we were considering taking my dog Peluche to live with my mom for a bit. We did that, on Tuesday I believe, and he's been there with her most of the last week. It's been okay, there's been a lot less chaos in my house, and my mom is happy to have him over there. Both the dogs seem happy, if a little bored. But I miss my big fluffy dog. We went over and visited him (and Mom) one time a few days after we dropped him off there, and he was just so happy to see me and wanted to come home with me. I know he's doing good, but I still feel bad about it.
Other than that, the week was good. We took Panchito out for a walk at the lake. It's way easier with just one big dog. I've been doing a lot of miniature painting and 3d printing for D&D. Also learned a bit of electronics so that I could run LEDs through my terrain for future projects. That's been fun.
I've played a few new games. Haven't gotten very far in any of them yet, but have enjoyed them so far. One called Endling, where you play as a fox caring for and protecting her cubs. That one I can already tell is going to make me cry. Another called Stacklands, which is like if you turned Age of Empires into a card game. It's pretty neat! And Dave the Diver, which I've been wanting to play for a while and is just fantastic so far. I love games like this, where it's actually two games in one and the two sides of the game support each other. In this one, you're fishing during the day to provide for your sushi restaurant at night. I love that. I want to make a game with that kind of dynamic in the future. Honestly, Come Home was originally supposed to be something close to that, but I backed off and went for something simpler for my first game. Game 3 though... that one is going to be interesting.
I've been saying for a while that I'm going to take a vacation soon. And we're actually leaving tomorrow! Just a little two-night vacation. I'll tell you where and everything once I get back. But I wanted to go somewhere I didn't have to fly, so we're just sticking local for this one. It's a place that I've never been to before though, and we should have a good time and get away from work and the house and all the things that we have to do, just for a little while.
That's all I got for today. Hope you all have an amazing week! Love ya!

I misunderstood. I had thought you meant a game that included a fishing component. Whatever it is, I will trust your vision. edited to add that now I will have to look at Dave the Diver to see what you mean.

2023-07-24 21:43:49 +0000 UTCI'm not making a fishing game, Maruad (probably). Just want to make a game that is two types of games combined into one and they play off each other, like in Dave the Diver.

2023-07-24 20:47:37 +0000 UTCFishing sounds great. I love fish just for the their own sake, as opposed to eating them which I am not as fond about. I hope there will be both fresh and salt water varieties. I know this is way too soon but they sooner the seeds are planted, the sooner they can grow.
